It's the sixth edition of the Four Nations Cup! To be held at Pub Randolph, 6505 des Écores, corner Beaubien, Montreal, on September 7 & 8.


Popol le Bleu, the official wizard of the Ligue des Quatre Nations, never, and he means NEVER, gets tired of messing up your games, so he decided to put on another one! Hence, Four Nations Cup VI, where he plans to again wreck havoc on the pitch!

Here are the rules for this NAF sanctionned tourney:

- Five games of Blood Bowl, Swiss style, on two days (3 on Saturday; 2 on Sunday) and fun to remember all your life!
- Official NAF tourney rules (https://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Rules-for-NAF-Tournaments-2019.pdf);
- Painted teams only (though no points for painting them... but who wants to play grey elves anyway?)

TEAM CREATION:

- 110 Starting TV, minimum of 11 players, Star players, & Apo allowed;
- Then, you get five (5) skills:

TIER 1 (Amazons, Bretonians, Chaos Dwarves, Dwarves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Norse, Undead, Wood Elves): Regular skills only;

TIER 2 (Chaos Renegades, Elf Union, High Elves, Humans, Necromantic, Orcs, Skaven): one double allowed;

TIER 3 (Chaos, Khemri, Khorne, Nurgles, Slann, Underworld, Vampire): two doubles allowed;

TIER 4 (Halflings, Goblins, Ogres, Stunry Lizardmen*, Stunty Underworld**): Six skills, up to three doubles.

*Skinks and Krox only;
** Underworld Goblins and Warpstone Troll Only.


- No ability (MA, ST, AG, AV) upgrade allowed at team creation;
- No more than 2 extra skills per player at team creation, no more than 3 per players during tourney;
- No more than twice the same added skill on your whole roster;
- This a resurrection tourney;
- Positively no overtime.

FOUR NATIONS CUP SPECIAL RULES:

- Popol le Bleu, estranged wizard of the Four Nations League, is mad and wants to disturb the league's tourney, so he'll be available to each team for a single use throughout the tourney (meaning: everybody gets one use of a wizard whenever he wants during the tourney);
- After each game, each coach selects a player on his team, then rolls on the skill increase table;

- 1ST , 2ND , 3RD
- Stunty Cup if 3+ stunty teams!
- Most TD’s
- Best Defense
- Most CAS
- Best painted team
- Best sportmanship
- Best Female Coach!

EXTRA RULES

- 4 minute turns
- Swiss style pairing throughout the weekend
- Game play points: Win 3, Tie 1, Loss 0
- Tie breaker:
Direct game vs
TD differential;
CAS differential;
- Most TD;
- Most CAS.


How much will it cost?
It will cost you 25 $ for the tourney, but...

If you register and pay by August 25, 11:59 PM, you'll pay only 20$ and get a chance to win a new GW Halfling team;
If you submit your team using this Excel file (http://bit.ly/2Fczf6L) by August 31, 11:59pm, you get a second ticket for the raffle AND can win a set of GW Halfling dice set.

Last year : Any of the OGBBFP (Ottawa / Gatineau blood bowl fancy player )were there!

I hope to see couple of you guys this year! We are going to have a blast!!!

Last year we had a girl playing and winning the femina Trophy (Obviously.. she was alone!!) ... Hoping to see 1-2 more girls to compete for this trophy!

This tourny is part of the glam series.. and might worth lots of pts! (last year 18 player..) so Toronto guys.. you might want to come to this one Smile

***UPDATE ON HALFLINGS AND WOOD ELVES' ROSTERS***

Fellow coaches,

After consulting with NAF brass, I can confirm that new Halfling roster is accepted for the Coupe des 4 Nations VI. I don't think there are any new positionnals for Woodies, but if there are some roster changes, they are in play for C4N VI.

As for Star Players, only those listed in the NAF Annual Review are accepted between reviews. So no Spike! mag SP for those two teams.

So far, one confirmed Stunty and one Lady, so we'll have a Stunty Cup and an Amazon Cup (I didn't like the sound of best female...)!

OK guys: roughly 72 hours to send in your rosters (using the Excel file!!).

Deadline is Aug. 31st, 11:59 pm.

Submitting your roster before this deadline gives you:

- a second raffle ticket for the halflings team if you paid before Aug. 25th;
- a raffle ticket for the halflings dice !

Ain't life great or what?!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

- Bring your line-ups, dice, board and dug outs: with 12+ tables, I don't have enough boards!
- Doors open at 9, registration at 9:30, first game at 10. Please be on time. We will.
- We don't play with timers. If your opponent is too slow, two solutions:
a) play poorly. Your good turns make it hard on them! or
b) come see an organizer, Chris or I, and we'll put a timer into play for the remainder of the game.
(This happened only once in the five previous editions. We have a friendly crowd. Usually, by stating that your opponent is a bit slow helps them play faster)

Fun, BIG FUN is on the menu!

Great tournament. Thanks a bunch. Wow, I'm six years in Montreal and this is the first I have heard of this?

Played some people I haven't played in twelve years! Some rematches and some new matchups!

Great location. Great games. Great food. Great beers.

Next year I want to stay late after and play some boardgames! I bought Carcassonne and played it with the family when I got home. Its pretty dang awesome.

A word before I upload the results and post something more complete here:

1) I need your NAF numbers: it will make things easier to upload the results;
2) André LeBlanc lost it's BB2016 pitch. Dugouts have cut corners, so it should be easy to spot it. If you mistakenly put it in your bags, please let us know: it's not cool to lose stuff at a tourney. Except your dignity. This is unavoidable.
3) I found a navy blue vest with brown elbow patches, size XL. Let me know if it's yours.

At long last, I want to take the time to thank you all for showing up in such numbers at this 6th edition of C4N. It was again a great tourney because of the quality people who showed up!
