North America - # of NAF games played

Post subject: # of NAF games played
Myself the next NAF game I play will be my 100th. Where are you all at in # of games played. I saw the number 1 coach in the world from Spain has 400 games played.

Your post prompted me to check my number of games played and I currently sit at 50! I was rather surprised at that actually. Especially after only one year of playing in tournaments.

I checked too, and was surprised I am 8 shy of 100.

Never thought to look at that before...have played in 111 games in 3 years (could have been more if not for missing a couple tourney's I planned on attending) The # of games racks up pretty quickly though. Hopefully get a bunch more in before the World Cup next year too. To think that doesn't include all the regular games I've played over that same spam as well as the 100 or so I've played online...sheesh!! That's a lot of Bloodbowl, not that that's a bad thing of course Very Happy

Interesting thread!

I am sitting at 170 games currently. Whatis more important to me is that 2011 will be the year that I finally achieve my goals of having played all of the teams!!! Very Happy Only Lizardmen, Khemri, Dark Elf, High Elf and Amazon to go!

148, and this year was pretty poor (and next year looks just as bad).

Also noticed over the last 18 months, I've won as many games as I've lost. Rolling Eyes
11/10/11 - I really do suck!

think it was last updated in June or something, and will be updated again in the next couple of months.

You have signed your own death-wish with that statement . . . may God have mercy on your soul at your next Canadian tourney.

And for the record the reason why I have never played you is intentional, the french are too easy to beat, I want real opponents. Not ones that waffle at the first sign of trouble Wink

131....but if hitting 12 tournaments in 2010 is any indication on 2011, that number should definitely be rising. A few years ago I was only doing 3-4 events a year.

Anyone know how to get the first number in the W-T-L column to increase? Mr. Green

Really? Why? Because we love the easy W when we play. Helps our stats. ;P Course, I am one of the few you can say I actually lost a game to you. On the other side, how can someone who has played so many games still be so bad?

I'm going to apologize to Taxal and Eric in advance but this is just too good to pass up on Laughing

It'z cause Eric is a "spitting" image of Dan's Mom playing Bloodbowl...everyone get's there turn to "pound" on her but when all is said and done she (or in this case he) keeps coming back to the table for "2nd's, 3rd's etc, etc" Wink

It's all luv Eric!! sorry..

I'm 99% sure it's Valdric with 336 games played.

Me, I'm over 100 games behind that with 235. Smile

I am not sure which coaches are from North America, but Lycos with 550+ games is pretty daunting to beat, but Valdric seems to be the highest of the coaches I know are in North America. Man, Lycos played one less tournament this year than I have since I started playing in tournaments in 2007.

I can vouch for that. Hell Jonny if you and Eric played it would be worth just to watch since the both of you are great sports.

I have 192 NAF games. I don't have that many league games or online games worth mentioning though. I am trying to get more in. I am in 3 online leagues and starting to play more online.

I doubt that I will ever get caught up to Valdric since he actuallly attends more events per year than I do. I will be slowing down a bit this coming year.

Wow, you made me check myself, 557. Geggster (UK) went past 500 this weekend and he is 3rd Globally - Kerrunch (Spain) is still 2nd for games played.

I cant find anyone over Valdric for USA or Canada.

If there an easy way to find out other peoples' numbers? I would be curious to find out who the most played coach in Canada is!

Yeah, I will do that for you.
EDIT:

Ah, I see why you asked Craig! You at 167 and Rod on 154 are coming back as 1 & 2. Several names I know in 130's. Unless that search missed someone.

Interesting that Ben Tusim was way ahead at one stage but he has done 5 events since end of 2007.....

I guess you guys just dont have the volume of events we do here. But it is increasing.

It's just nice to see the rise in number of events everywhere. In the states we have at least one tourney every month. Problem is, the area to cover is so large, we are pretty much separated into East, West, Midwest, for the purposes of driving to events. Especially the West Coast guys...its a plane ticket everytime! But if the US could get to the point where each region has at least one NAF a month that would be awesome!

Come on Spazz...get your crew to keep up! Very Happy

In Eastern Canada we have events nearly every month as well. The only months without scheduled events are June,August, and December right now. We have gotten much more organized as a group over the last couple years. Eric.R handles most of the websites for all of our tourney's as well as having compiled a list of the Canadian Tournaments held across Canada each year with there dates and links to there websites. Helps for planning and attending several. We also have problems with the area to cover between East and West events and are thus restricted to the amount of tourney's we can attend. Hope to be able to make a few US tourney's in the next couple year's as well. The way DarkOrk20 talks about the Zlurpee, I would love to make it out for that. July is usually pretty busy for me though and one of my Favourite Canadian tourney's (Lakeside Cup) is in that month already. Will try to squeeze it in scheduling wise so I can attend Very Happy

Big difference though is the win/loss ratio! Whereas you are like a sniper hitting most of the shots you take, I am like a mad machine gunner! I spray enough bullets that eventually I am going to hit something! Laughing

You guys should really try to make Zlurpee if you can. It should easily break 80 coaches this year and may approach 100. Xtreme puts on a great event. If you can't make that, Orctoberfest is abit closer in the Detroit area(in October of course).

I'm planning to bringing a much larger US contingent to the Warpstone this year. I'm offering up my vacation home on a lake in upstate NY(just west of Buffallo) for the medwest coaches to crash at for the weekend. That should entice a few more in Smile

I mean, of the thousands of NAF members, only 13 have posted over 1100 times, so all the rest have made less posts than the difference between your post count and the #2 poster.
