seems to be back up.
Only time will tell for how long.

Hope Johnny has the problems sorted out now, so we can get to the stage where this is the serious place where we talk about serious stuff, and TBB is like the world's own BB Pub.

Nope, heard of somebody else having this problem recently though. It's not been the most stable site lately..ongoing server problems... Sad

I have been doing some major work on the server for the past few days which has resulted in periods of downtime. I have also removed one of the memory DIMMS for testing as I suspect that might have been causing the server crashes that were happening.

This mornings downtime was due to me making some changes to my router.

The server has been stable now for well over 12 hours (longer than it has been for a few weeks now Very Happy

).

I'll be installing a KVM sometime during the next week which, if the console cannot be re-activated (there's no mouse, keyboard or monitor plugged in at the moment), may require a reboot.

Well, can't say that I had read that thread. I still enjoy reading "MOST" of his posts. I'll have to look for that one while TBB is still up. Not that he is the always voice of reason, I have just found that he often argues his points well and, has more than once swayed my opinion on an issue.

I reckon there is a conspiracy going on. The NAF has persuaded JohnnyP to keep Talk-BB crashing so that we all cough up our dosh and join the NAF so we can use these boards. Once a critical mass of us have joined, suddently Talk-BB will work properly again.

Zombie can argue well, but "courtesy" seems to be a four letter word in his vocabulary. The above response really irritated me on an irrational level. I'm glad Mestari responded to it before I did.

Quite right. I've often agreed with his points of view content-wise (in this case also), but I find it hard to accept that he can't produce a more polite output. Especially when talking to a newbie! I don't mind anymore and I bet most of the veteran TBB'rs filter the "you must be an idiot to think like that"-parts of his messages and concentrate on the issue at hand.

Some old school players are just jaded, and get frustrated when they see tactics that they don't agree with. Then, they funnel that energy into a sometimes rude-sounding post. Not saying that I agree with it, but I can see where he is coming from. I feel the same way about some different topics, and sometimes I come off a little harsh....

Can anyone get into TBB at the moment. The reason I ask is that i've been back in the office at work today and I got in at lunch time no problem.

Now that i'm home I can't get in again. Just wondering if it's the site or my conection. I've been having trouble with a few other sites but i'm not sure if it's coincidence.
