The Waratah Tournament Series (Waratah) is a new yearly open tournament series for NAF approved Blood Bowl tournaments held in NSW, Australia.
TOURNAMENTS
*Tournaments may be eligible for Waratah as follows:
**Must be held between 1 Jan 2024 and 31 Dec 2024.
**Must be held in NSW, Australia.
**Must be NAF sanctioned with at least 3 rounds.
**Must be approved by the Waratah Tournament Series Organiser at least 2 months prior to gameday.
**Must not be scheduled within 2 weeks of another Waratah tournament.
**More than 50% of the tournaments must be 11s format.
**A Tournament Organiser must not host more 2 tournaments.
**If any of the above criteria is not met, a tournament may not be eligible for Waratah.
*Tournaments will be tiered, and this will determine the available series points:
**TIER 1 TOURNAMENT
***11s format.
***2 day, 5+ rounds.
***20+ coaches.
**TIER 2 TOURNAMENT
***11s format.
***1 day, 3+ rounds.
***10+ coaches.
**TIER 3 TOURNAMENT
***Variant format.
***1 day, 3+ rounds.
***10+ coaches.

*Sydney Bowl 11s Feb @ Ashfield
*Dungeon Dash (DB) Feb @ Mortdale
*Chaos On The Coast (11s) Mar @ Ourimbah
*Outback Cup (@ ShireCon) (7s) Apr @ Sylvania Heights
*Infinity Bowl (11s) May @ Parramatta
*Eucalyptus Bowl (11s) Jul @ Burwood
*One Day Slay (11s) Aug @ Gymea
*Nuffle's Bash (@ MOAB) (11s) Oct @ Sylvania Heights
*Sydney Bowl 7s (11s) Oct @ Castle Hill
*Additional tournaments may be added to the schedule subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
SCORING
*Each Waratah tournament may have it’s own scoring system.
*Coaches may gain series points as follows:
**PLACING
***10 points for 1st place, reducing by 1 point for each placing. Eucalyptus Bowl (the Australian "Major" tournament) will be expanded to 20-1 points.
***+1 bonus point for every 10 coaches placed ahead of.
**TIER
***+5 bonus points for a Tier 2 tournament.
***+10 bonus points for a Tier 1 tournament.
**MOST TD AND MOST CAS
***1 bonus point for Most TD and Most CAS. If a coach is awarded Most TD or Most CAS and places 1st, 2nd or 3rd, the bonus point is awarded to the next eligible coach.
AWARDS
*The coach with the most series points from their best 5 Waratah tournament results will be eligible for awards and prizes as follows:
**1st Place.
**2nd Place.
**3rd Place.
*In the event of equal series points, a tiebreaker will apply as follows:
**Most 1st placings.
**Most 2nd placings.
**Most 3rd placings
