VOODOO - Open Tournament Series 2024
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana,
Mississippi, & Tennessee

December 9th, 2023 through December 8th, 2024

The Voodoo Tournament Series will have its SEVENTH year in 2024 as an Open Tournament Series. Any Blood Bowl tournaments run in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee will be eligible for points as long as they follow the rules outlined within and any coaches who are registered NAF coaches will be able to participate. If you join the NAF during one of the tournaments, you can accumulate points moving forward and cannot have points retroactively added if you join the NAF at a later date.

Tournament Series Type: Open
Tournament Series Organizers: James Luft / NAF LEGION & Jason York / NAF AlMightyPePe22

RULES
• All Approved Tournaments in 2023 will count for Voodoo Tournament Points
o Tournament Organizers wishing to participate must do the following:
o Contact the 2024 TSO’s with their intentions 2 months prior to their tournament date. All tournaments must be submitted a MINIMUM of 2 months in advance or it will need special permission to be eligible for any VOODOO tournament points.
o Provide the 2024 TSO’s with the results (NAF name and team type used) within 14 days of the tournaments conclusion. Results that are not submitted within that window may be waived.

• Each tournament run under the Voodoo Tournament Series will carry a $10.00 optional donation, which will go towards a prize/trophy pool. This is NOT mandatory but any TO that participates will help to make the Tournament Series a more rewarding experience for the coaches who participate. All funds will be used for the Voodoo Tournament Series Projects or Awards Ceremony at the end of the year.

• In 2024, The VOODOO Tournament Series will have two events classified as Regional Events. Regional Events will have a slightly different point structure than regular events (outlined below). In addition, there will be a tournament blackout period starting three weeks before the Regional Event, and ending one week after, where no VOODOO tournaments will be approved unless approval is given by Jason York and James Luft based on the individual circumstances. For 2024, the Regional Events are:

o Destination Blood Bowl: NEW ORLEANS March 2nd & 3rd in New Orleans (Metairie), LA
o THREE KINGDOMS CHALLENGE VIII: May 4th-5th in Orlando, FL
o Khorneval Blood Bowl Weekend: July 26th & 27th in Mobile, AL

• Coaches will receive the following points for each tournament they take part in:
o +10 to +1 points for top 10 placement, on a declining scale. In other words, a 1st-place finish would be worth 10 points, a 2nd-place finish would be worth 9 points, on down to a 10th- place finish being worth 1 point.
o Should there be fewer than 10 coaches (it happens!), the top coach's score would be equal to the
total number of participants, the rest would decline as usual.
o Tournament Champion receives +1 point
o +1 point per 5 places below them in the standings. (Examples: A coach finishing 1st in a 32-
coach tournament would receive a bonus of +6 because there are 30+ coaches below them. A coach finishing 1st in an 11-coach tournament would receive a bonus of +2 because there are 10 coaches below them. A coach finishing first in a 10-coach tournament would receive a bonus of +1 because there are only 9 coaches below them.)
o +1 point per day of the tournament. Given to all participants.

• Tournament Organizers: +1 point for organizing the tournament, and an additional +1 point per 5 coaches in the tournament.
o Organizers who play in their own tournaments are no longer able to earn points based on tournament placement. They only receive points using the method mentioned above.
o Tournament Ringers who do not play in the tournament they are the ringer for will earn the same number of points as the Tournament Organizer. If the Tournament Ringer does play, they will earn points based on their performance.

• For a Regional Event, the following changes are made to the above point structure:
o +15 to +1 points for top 15 placement, on a declining scale. In other words, a 1st-place finish would be worth 15 points, a 2nd-place finish would be worth 14 points, on down to a 15th- place finish being worth 1 point.
o Should there be fewer than 15 coaches, the top coach's score would be equal to the
total number of participants, the rest would decline as usual.
o +2 points per day of the tournament. Given to all participants.

• Only a coach’s Top 5 scores will count for determining overall standings

• In addition to the main table, a separate table will be maintained for points accrued with Stunty teams. Points will be awarded in the same way, but only those tournaments played with Stunty teams will count.
• Tiebreakers will be: Most First Place Finishes, followed by Most Second Place Finishes. If scores are still tied, the prize will go to the coach who used the most different team types during the series. If there is still a tie, random determination (coin toss or die roll) will be used.
