Does the hypnotic gaze cause the hypnotised player to lose all skills (particularly those that don't depend on the tackle zone, such as Block, Dodge, Thick Skull, Dump-off, etc.)? And can we trigger 'Dump-off' in response to a hypnotic gaze trigger? Thanks |

Yes, player loses tackle zones and by doing so all skills requiring one.
Dump Off triggers only on Block, so no. So gazing a Dump Off Player to prevent it is a good tactic like it is with Block or Dodge. |

Dump Off states "If this player is nominated as the target of a Block action (or a Special Action granted by a skill or Trait that can be performed instead of a Block action) and if they are in possession of the ball, they may immediately perform a Quick Pass action, interrupting the activation of the opposition player performing the Block action (or Special Action) to do so."
Hypnotic Gaze is indeed a Special Action granted by a Trait.
Dump Off works just fine. |

But the condition "instead of a Block Action" is not met for Hypnotic Gaze, this is the case for Chainsaw or Vommitting. |
