What is the C.I.B.B.?
The Italian Blood Bowl Championship (C.I.B.B.), is a circuit of NAF sanctioned tournaments in Italy.

Scoring
For this third edition, we will adopt the scoring system suggested by the NAF document for the Series, with some modifications. In team tournaments, the score will be calculated based on the team ranking of the event, calculating the total points attributable to the team and not to the participants, and the points awarded to all coaches who are part of the team. Coaches receive the following points based on their ranking:
I. From +20 to +1 points for the top 20 places, on a decreasing scale. In other words, 1st place is worth 20 points, 2nd place is worth 19 points, and so on, down to 20th place which is worth 1 point.
II. In the event that there are fewer than 20 coaches (it can happen but we hope not!), the maximum score is equal to the total number of participants, decreasing as usual. This means that winning a tournament with 6 participants results in 6 points for 1st place, 5 points for 2nd place, and so on.
III. +1 point for every 10 places below them in the ranking. Example: A coach who ranks 1st in a tournament of 32 coaches receives a bonus of +3 because there are more than 30 coaches below him. 13th place in the same tournament gives 1 bonus point, because there are 19 coaches below. A coach who ranks 1st in a tournament of 10 coaches does not receive any bonus, as there are only 9 coaches below.
IV. +1 point for one-day tournaments, +5 points for two-day tournaments (if the coach is present on both scheduled days).
V. Organizer bonus: +1 point for every 10 coaches in the tournament, only for organizers who do not play in their own event. Note that this is unlikely to be very useful in a structured Series, but it offers some consolation to organizers who cannot play in their own events in open Series.
VI. Tiebreaker: coaches receive 0.1 points for each tournament they participate in. This score is taken in full and is not reduced to the "best of 5" like other scores. So, a person who has participated in 9 tournaments could have a total score of 30.9, beating someone who has played only 8 tournaments and has 30.8. In the event of a further tie in the ranking (equal points + equal tiebreaker), the best result obtained will be considered, in case of a tie the second and so on, even beyond the fifth (third for the Stunty), until the results are exhausted. In the event of a further tie, the result of the TTC will be examined and finally the ranking of the previous year, then the draw. |

Hi Matte8, you need not document the series on the forum anymore. Everything has moved to the sprecific series page, where you have applied it anyway already.
And you were not supposed to sticky this thread anyway, since I sticky it when approved ... but anyway, does not matter and will approve your series on the series registration page. you can also document the series from 2023 and 2024 in order to have the winner be shown on their respective coach pages (mid term improvement that will be implemented). |
