if a player with frenzy blocks another who is carrying the ball, and the push back result in the score line, is a touchdown? or the player with frenzy can block again and send the rival to the crowd?
my dark elves lost a trophy, because the opposite coach said that is a touchdown. what do you think? |

It's on the BBRC Hotlist Q&A for October of this year. You'll have to make a house rule until then, but it's not far off.
If a player with Strip Ball pushes an opposing player with the ball into his endzone during your turn. Is it a touchdown. The wording on page 16 indicates yes as it doesn't include the "A team scores a touchdown when one of their players ends an action standing in the opposing team???s End Zone while holding the football." The rules on page 16 under the topic, SCORING IN THE OPPONENT???S TURN, say its a TD as soon as the player is pushed which would seem to preclude the Strip Ball effect. If Strip Ball should prevent such a TD, change the wording to this:
"For example, a player holding the ball could be pushed into the End Zone by a block. If this happens and the player is still in possession of the ball when that single block or event resolves then the team scores a touchdown"
The single block wording is there, as a question was raised if you have Frenzy and push the player into the end zone is it a TD or do I get to hit him again first ... the single block wording fixes that question as well. |

IMO its a TD. However you resolved it your opponent should have let you take it back. |

I know that's the way Football (Yes, REAL FOOTBALL aka American Football not soccer ) would rule it as the ball has crossed the line, but in BB I would envision it differently. You have to survive the assault of the opposing player to get that hard earned TD, and frenzied players can hit you twice...
Whatever the BBRC says will be what we end up with in the HBBL becuase I can see both sides of the coin. |

Frenzy yes a touchdown would be scored, however stripball the control of the ball is lost as the push back happens IMO this is the idea of the strip ball skill the player would need to have control at the end of the action to score a TD as in real american football. |

OK, it was a TD, and my Dark elves must take revenge by other way rather than the rules... |

Hmm most of the times in American Football the rule is the ball carrier has to break the plane of the end zone in possession of the ball. Once the plane is broken the score is official. if the player is then pushed back out of the end zone or loses control of the ball then the TD stands. Well unless the refs have been paid off. . I would think Strip ball would be the exception to scoring in this example. If your ripping the ball from someones hands neither you or your opponent are fully in control of the ball.. Therefore I would say it would not be a TD on a push action with strip ball skill.. As I'm not part of the BBRC I can only voice an opinion. |
