Amazon Players
From the start of a League...
What is the 1st Skills you select after getting SPP???
I have been in 2 Seasonal Leagues, and "Block" seems the best to start, then after that, working up on Charactistic Skills from the Players Blocking Jobs...
Example: a Catching getting "Sprint" or "Sure Feet" or "Sure Hands"...
Another: Thrower getting "Accurate"...
What do you usually get ???? |

Thrower: Ist Sure Hands, 2nd Block or Accurate
Linewomen: Block, then combination of Tackle, 1 Kick, 2 Dirty Players
Catchers: Block, then Side Step/Sprint/Diving Tackle
Blitzers: Guard, Mighty Blow, Strip Ball
That's assuming no doubles. |

thanks...
Now, One more question, do you from the start of the League???
Go with as many players as you can purchase with the 1,000,000 GP?
Get mega amount of Re-Rolls???
Purcahse alot of Coaches???
Purchase a Huge amount of Fan Factor???
- or -
Purchase a Huge amount of CheerLeaders???
Plz Note, I am a Firm believer in buying an Apotheary from the start...
1st Season:
I went with alot of players, I faired ok... But no Apothecary, HUGE MISTAKE!!!!
2nd Season:
I bought alot of re-rolls... Again I faired ok...
This year, my roster is into the league Organizers...
I bought 8 Fan Factor, "Let the Gold FLOW!!!!"
11 Players
3 Re-Rolls
1 Apothecary...
I ordered a Bunch of CheerLeaders from Shadow Forge... Should be here any day, well I hope...
I use other Princess looking minis as my Asst. Coaches... |

Cheerleaders and coaches are a waste of money.
I always start a league team with high FF (pref. 9). After that, for 'zons I'd want 3 TRR - and then use the rest for all 4 Blitzers plus the rest of the team.
I'd not start with more TRR because they cost about as much as positional players to buy new ones, but have the added benefit of dropping your TR at the same time.
I'm not a great believer in buying an apoth from the start. Normally you can afford one after the 1st game. |

If you want a good look at Amazons, I suggest you get your hands on Blood Bowl Magazine #8.

Well after a scouting mission/ RECON... I hear the other players talking among themselves, sounds like a lot of going with the Asst. Coaches and Cheerleaders...
They do make the difference on the "Kick off Table"... I will just have to lump it at 1st...
Kick Off results for:
1 Cheerleaders
1 Asst. Coaches
3 with Fan Factor...
Last 2 on the Table, "Throw a Rock" and "Field Invasion" is a bad thing, if you have a low FF...
I want the gold, and have my team up to full strength ASAP!!!!
There are 3 Dwarven Teams in this season's League... They don't like me, well my Amazons, and I don't like them...
Crossing fingers for 11 on the SPP Rolls... Agility up 1... Please let this happen for me this year... Catchers with AG of 4 would really allow me to run circles around them dang Dwarves... |

assistant coaches do, but there is no difference between cheereleaders & FF for cheering fans etc. and higher FF has a bigger benefit
if somehow you have FF 9 and the odd 1 or 2k left over then by all means get a coach, but I never have and never will buy a coach - retired players are fine for that. |

I started my REBBL team with
3 Blitzers
1 Thrower
2 Catchers
5 Linewomen
4 RR
9 FF and 20K
But if I was starting again I'd go
4 Blitzers
1 Thrower
2 Catchers
4 Linewomen
3 RR
9 FF and 20k |

3 Blitzers
2 Throwers
2 Catchers
4 Linewomen
I also have a FF of 8, I don't want that -1 mod. on 9 FF, yet... |

Someone is winding you up. If they aren't then you are stealing a march.
Cheering fans (1/9 chance per kickoff) is Fan Factor and Cheerleaders. Get FF 9 if you are that bothered by it.
Brilliant Coaching (1/9 chance per kickoff) is coaches only. Remember that when you retire players you can get an assistant coach for free. With Av7 you will be getting quite a few players with stat decreases & niggle who are worth getting rid of.
Winning or Losing either roll often makes little difference over all. Your money is better spent on buying another team reroll which you are guaranteed to have - especially since they are only 40k each.
BTW If I have an extra 10/20k left after buying my team - and I've got FF9 - I wont spend it and use it to buy the apoth after the 1st game. |

Actually, it's -1 for every 10 FF |

And I have to agree, under the current rules there's no good reason to have cheer leaders/asst. coaches on a starting team. The money you'd spend on them is better off in the treasury to puchase apoth/additional players after your first game. |

My assistant coaches slots are used by retired players only...
