Well, anyone going to the BB tourny will instantly be able to recongnise me. It won't be the ginger hair or the NAF staff top, it'll be the huge friction blister on my left thumb from a weekend painting sesh - trying to open those absolute ba$tard paint pots had already given me one blister, then some hard skin, but now it's given a blister on top of another one!
so if I win this trophy I can honestly say I've went through pain and blood to do it....
I bet I am not the only one with this problem either |

The new paint pots suck. The easiest and quickest way to open them is by submerging them in hot water for about 20 seconds. The air inside will expand and the lid will open without any sweat
Martijn (I know what you went through. I finished painting my team an hour before I went to the Golden Deamons. You're not alone! ) |

apparently they had the new paints pots at Pandemonium although I didn't see them. They are the same pots but have a flip lid from what I hear. |

ah, thats you with this " awful" orc cheerleader , too?
Great mini... saw it at TBB forum, too. I´m just ordering some old orcs from MOUS to convert a "own" Orcteam. There are so many minis i have to paint, but i´m thinking, to concentrate at a own orc team now.
Hm, but there is a big list of things i want to do...:
- converted orcteam...
- fixed gamefield with homebuild pits... have to play more, to use later all the invitations to UK, Germany and Utrecht for playing
- Golden demon BB diaorama, second try... yes, i will win sometimes
- Golden Demon Orc diorama...
- paint more "historic "BB minis for my web archive
There were two "statiums" at the last german GD. One was a wooden gamefield, very well done. The second was my diorama of a BB stand with orcs and dwarf spectators and the deathroller rolling over a orc
I just called the german MO and i was told , GD 2003 should be 24th of August... but the troll wasnt very sure about this
BTW... after using GW color the last 15 years i changed to vallejo colors, too.

Yeah, that's my Cheer-Orc - didn't you recognize the Ogre then?
Anyway...
Utrecht? You're going to Ducosim in March then?
I'll be painting a Duel Scene for Golden Deamon this year: a Goblin Referee trying to send off a fouling Troll
And maybe a squad of cheerleaders for the Regiment Category, if I have any time left!

Nope, no prob, as i will try other categories. But, hm, whats with this damm sword ?

Erm... Ducosim is some sort of annual gathering of Games Workshop-players (or so I heard at least) held every year in March at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht (the big building near central station), I don't really know much about it but I heard they were having a small BB tournament this year so perhaps I'll enter - I'll look it up!
BTW - swapping over the border is easy when you live in Nijmegen - that's about 20 km from Kernwasser Wunderland
Isn't the Big Prize on the German Golden Demon a Bratwurst or something?

What, like the Golden-Slayer-Bratwurst?
With a pair of Lederhosen for the runner-up? |

Yeah that's it!
I'd go for the Lederhosen probably!

Maybe I can convert a Golden Deamon into a Nurgle Deamon Prince
But I'd rather go for that juicy Golden Bratwurst!
(Especially with Sauerkraut und Reibekuchen!!!) |

do you have to pay to enter the GD? and how much is the UK GD usually?
I've always been tempted to go, but been put off by the fact I don't think there will be much to do... |
