As for your fear of awarding any trophey to yourself Indigo, I suggest you just ask other members of your team to present the trophies - maybe one person per trophey - so that no one will find himself in the situation where they present the prize himself.

...so you can guess my answer: PLAY.

You should play and be eligable to get any prize you aren't judging. So if you aren't judging painting (the only one that needs a judge) congratulations you can be beaten in all categories Smile

as for painting, it's a public vote - everyone can vote once for a team that was painted by the person playing them (i.e. pro-painted ineligible)

If there are ties then there will be a revote between the two or more tied teams.

as for the prize awards, if I DID win something, I doubt my wife would be that keen on standing up and awarding me anything in front or you 'orrible lot. Maybe DW could though...? Wink

There should be no problem with an organiser playing, provided that there is an independent referee to sort out any arguments or queries during play. If an organiser plays then they should be eligible for all the prizes and awards going.

OK the final list of competitors is as follows:

Ian Williams
Aran Isom
Daniel Martinez
Dave Candlish
Duncan Railton
Brian Railton
Louis-Xavier Dauguet
Ben Windmill
Andy Hatton
Francois Huguet
Simon Ashe
Cyril Tissot
Mark Carmichael
Andy McLean
Christopher Hayes
Pierre Capeau
Alex Edwards
Christian Burnett
Richard Would
Shane Bradshaw
Paul Gegg
Davin George

I am still trying to determine if Chris Gilders is coming or not. As it stands, we have 37 people coming, which means my brother (Graeme) won't be playing, taking us to 36. If any of you have mates who want to come along then there ARE spaces for them! PM or mail me if you have a friend interested (although they will still have to pay of course Wink)

This one was painted by a local painter widely considered to be the best in the GW Cambridge store, and it will form part of the prize for the 2nd place player. Image has been tweaked slightly in Photoshop and looks better IRL.
