I see, are you saying that neither of the two known US competitors is equal to the players in either Canadian city?
Melifaxis, I charge you to destroy these northern elitists!!!!!
Of course I haven't beaten them yet, but that doesn't matter.

I'm not saying that at all. It's simply a matter of odds. OMM and Mel have as much a chance as everyone else to win the title. It's simply that the US team doesn't seem to be very well represented at the tourney. With good Toronto and Montreal players outnumbering them at least 3 to 1 the odds are that it'll go to a Canadian.
That and the fact that the Toronto Boys have been practicing their Death Bowl (Lord knows they need practice)
Now if a few more Americans want to get the lead out....

WooHoo I just got the last piece finished for the axe. This weekend I'll assemble it. It's not finished the way I'd like it to be but it's far enough along to do for this year.
Hmm I guess I had better finish the trophies I'm handing out soon..

I can't make Montreal this year. I will be at Underworld and I am already making plans(recruting local fodder) for the Canadian Open. Melifaxis and OMM will have to do my dirty work. I have family stuff to do this October, but I should make Brians tourney next year. |

Yeah I'm up for that. I have a couple limited edition Lizard Cheerleaders I'd be willing to trade.

I'm actually starting to wonder what would happen if I attended. Since the rule of thumb has been that I lose in the final round in Canada (lose my final match against the eventual winner) then in the deathbowl, would I lose to all three? Would it just resolve the jinx.... because it would be the final match, but not against a single opponent. |

Now I'm really pumped about this tournament. Here's a clip from Long Bomb where Andy talks about the Death Bowl.
Quote: The Blood Bowl tournament season continues apace with the Death Bowl being held in Montreal on the 18th & 19th of October. Brian St James, the editor of www.house-rulez.com has organised what looks to be a fantastic tournament. Brian has committed many hours of effort and expense to organise this tournament so if you live in the Montreal area, or even further a field please come and support it. The event will be NAF sanctioned with discounts and benefits for NAF members. Oh, and I'll be there as well! So, if you want to talk Blood Bowl with guy who manages it and see some never before seen - anywhere - models then come to the Death Bowl. What's more the prizes shown on the Death Bowl website are nothing compared to what I'm going to bring for the winners! For more information visit the Death Bowl website here www.house-rulez.com/db2003/db2003.html
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Death Bowl. Check your soul at the door!

The more players that have strong jinxes working against them the merrier
Come give it a shot, maybe you can break the cycle! |
