Has anyone experimented with doing pre-season games? These would be league games before any league book keeping would take place. I'm thinking of doing a few of these just to break in new rules and new players to the game. This way rules could be explained and a few skills gained before the actual rating process and run for the tournies takes place.

Yes. It is a good thing to have a preseaon, wh run with 3 matches MAX, they give full spp and so and, an the teams may not play more than once against eachother.

Players with M at the end of the preaseason carry this to the first match pf the season.

IMO preseason games should be practise only and not award any SPPs, cash etc - purely practise with the team, that way you will not tip the balance from the start of the league. IMO...!

I think they should be one off games if you are testing rules. Also a good way to teach newbies to play before you throw them into the league were there mistakes are more permanet

Allowing a newbie team a couple of games before entering a high TR league is a problem imo, as long as any negitives are carried over with the positives.

we've played pre-season friendlies before and we simply removed the injury type roll for CAS, making everything Badly Hurt. However, we also removed the winnings modifier too, although we kept SPPs in but only allowed a team to gain 10 - any scored after this are not counted. No MVPs either.
