I'm trying to get mine done this week and sent off (I hope), should be able to as I am off this week so have plenty of spare time. The only thing I am worried about is that my sub-par paint job will not fit in with the rest of the well painted team. Sad to say, but I was trying to paint black and white striped pants and couldn't get them to look any good so had to paint over them with black. To make up for my mediocre painting ability, I am doing an extra mini (a converted cheerleader). Quantity over quality. Rolling Eyes

Wow, the amount of confidence in the painting skill of this group is outstanding... Wink

I know how you feel there, I almost starting planning for this from the begining. With every pic that is posted my confidence gets lower, whoever takes the team pic has my permison to put mine in the back behind some big model or something.

Well it's kinda good to know that mine won't be the only one that sucks. Wink

This isn't about all of us being Frazetta or Van Gogh. It's a fun contest in the spirit of the hobby. Enjoy painting your mini. The team will be a cool cross representation of a bunch of NAF coaches. Do your best, and just hope you're the lucky SOB that Andy pulls from the hat. Very Happy

My painting skills are only mediocre too, but the more you paint the better you get...

I wouldn't sweat it guys...this is about participation and contribution rather than ability or experience....gotta say that I saw the TBB Legacy Gobbo team 'in the metal/plastic' at Spiky, and although there was some differences in painting levels (if you're gonna be picky), they looked damn awesome as a team and I'd be proud to own any one of the models in it!

I agree with DW. And i would paint a mini just for fun, too, if i couldnt paint half so well.

BTW ... I just put picts of some minis online at " Cool Mini or Not "page. Just to see, what a even larger community of painters will say...

I'm sending the figs off to Mel today, so they should arrive before the deadline. They don't look as bad as I expected but not as good as I hoped (if that makes any sense).

Yep. Spoke to Antony a month or so ago, when he advised they were still coming, but Lightningbug didn't respond to my PM
