Could that be "Ashley's" in State St. ???

Very Happy

Hi guys,
first to post here after a great fun tournament. I want to thank Neo for a well organized tourney (I still like the award for most completions for a Dwarf team Wink )

Unexpectetly, I ended up 3rd! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy and for the 2nd tournament I played in, I think that is not bad (maybe the Ogre helped this time).

It was great meeting you guys in person so I can put a face behind all the Nicks.

Oh, I don't really want to put too much salt in the wound, but Germany-Canada-Germany-Canada in the first 4 places!!! Razz Laughing

See you guys next time and thanks for the Candy Tim...and congrats to the great victory.

Tojurub

Cool, I'm the 2nd post-tourney poster... Thanks to Neo for a great tourney, and an excellent game as well. Neo and I are now 1-1-1 lifetime in tournament play! Smile Just as in the Deathbowl in Montreal, there wasn't a bad sport in the group, which is very inspirational in continuing to attend as many tourneys as possible!!!

A very big congratulations to Tim and his Chaos Dwarfs, who frustrated all of his opponents with his Bull Centaurs... Laughing A well deserved win to a great coach! Toronto's own rookie to tournaments, Neil Uppal, managed 2nd by handing me my 2nd loss (my 1st loss was to Tim). He played very well for his first tourney, our game was one laugh after another!

I hope to manage an international trip sometime in the future, to have another shot at Tim, and perhaps a game against you too, Tojurub! Nottingham? Mannheim? And Ashley's was a world class pub, I've never seen so many taps, I swear, behind the bar there was only a couple of inches between each tap! Worship

Thank you all for the amazing company, and a very enjoyable event!

Cam.

Final Standings: (Help me out and fill in the rest, guys!)

1) Tim - Ger
2) Neil - Can
3) Torstein (Tojurub) - Ger
4) Cam (me!) - Can
5) Jim (Old Man Monkey) - USA
6) Ben - Can
7) Tie - Anthony - Can, Ian - Can

Well, a quick post of thanks to Neoliminal for putting together a fine tournament - the standard of play was very high. Congrats to Tim who took on all comers and emerged victorious. Well done!

And to Tor who turned my foolish hobbo 3rd row GFI failure into the game-winning TD on the last play - (crazy dwarven passing team !!! Very Happy )

Especially nice to see Tom (you mad painter you), Brian (whatever card you choose is OK with me), Ian (the Toronto wit) and everyone else from previous tourneys. Also pleased to meet new faces - Anthony, Matt, Neil - very good times all around.

(and Cam, I think you have Ben and I reversed but no matter - we tied in our game and had a great time, so no harm there... Wink )

Another superb weekend of Bloodbowl - I can't believe my seven months of tournament travel and play is nearly at an end.

Glad to see that everyone made it home safely - lots of good ideas for the growth and positive promotion of Blood Bowl - I suppose now it is time to turn dreams into plans.

Thanks again to all who were there (and Bea, our waitress at the Greek restaurant for putting up with all of us so nicely...)

It seems Twist and I were the stepping stones to the top, as both my losses were to Neil and Tim as well.

Yes, i must agree, a very well run and very enjoyable event. Next year there must be more support by the U S players. i enjoy beating up on them Smile . By the way Jim, you did finish higher than me, don't know why. I knew i shouldn't have given you first and second in painting and sportmanship. Damn. Just kidding. You deserved it. I have a great time playing your chaos dwarves, your just lucky i didn't cause more casualties. I guess that makes up for last time. Anyway thanks to all for a great tournament and thanks Tim for the chocolates. Yummy.

Ben

Sorry, Ben, a TIE against your Orc team, no matter how nicely painted they are, does not make up for the THRASHING I took in Montreal. Very Happy

And I think Bea was just humoring the crowd (except for Tom, whom she noticed eating his sushi - I was just lucky not to get caught!) Cool

Oh yes, thanks for the reminder, Ben and Anthony - THANKS to Tim for the chocolate!

Mike - I relate to your pain - my losses were to Tor and Neil, so must be something to that scoring system JKL uses . . .

OK, just a group pic here - rest will go up on House-Rulez:

Kneeling, from left: Jim Lanier, Camron Weaver, Ben Tusim, John Lewis, Tom Anders, Ethan Rippon, and Brian St. James

Backrow, from left: Ian Dundas, Mike Conkle, Anthony Watts, Torsten Blaetter, Tim 'Da Champ' Ibe, Neil Uppal, and Matt Weaver.

Not pictured: Gabe Hinman and Bill Jones.

Despite their appearance, a great group of coaches and friends!

Funny, i didn't imagine Neo and Galak looking like that at all! No offense meant, it's not worse, just different...

Brian looks like he is going to shoot Tom in the head with his Laser Beam Eye.
