The 2004 Canadian Open is coming!
In the past few years the Toronto Blood Bowl Federation has hosted the Orion Cup at the Orion gaming convention, the longest running BB tournament in Canada (and North America for that matter) and has built up a reputation for being the finest BB tourney in the Great White North. We also hosted a smaller tourney last year called the Pandemonium Cup as a part of the Pandemonium gaming convention.
This year we are doing something a bit different. The TBBF and CanadaBloodBowl.com are pleased to announce the 2004 Canadian Open. We will be running this event at the Pandemonium con instead of Orion and will replace both the Orion Cup and the Pandemonium Cup. This awesome tournament will determine who will become the 2004 Canadian Open Blood Bowl Champion! We want to make this the biggest BB event in Canada and we're expecting coaches to come from all over Canada and US (and even beyond) again this year.
The tournament will take place on February 21 & 22, 2004 in Toronto at the Inn on the Park. We will use a similar system to past Orion Cup events (basically the same system used at GenCon and the Underworld Cup). Rules and registration information will be available on CanadaBloodBowl.com shortly.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact myself or the Canadian NTO.
See you in February! And if you're on the Spanish Team, you'd better practice if you want to beat the Canadians! |

If i can find a job between now and then, you can count me in!
By the way, if anyone knows of a good job opening for a software engineer graduating in December... I don't care if it's in Toronto or anywhere around the world for that matter! (Except the USA, i don't want to live there.) |

I don't think it is so much us losing all the time as it is everyone else won't stop winning. |

Yes that can be a problem!
Do you guys think you can make the Open? We usually have a bunch of Americans up ever since Neo started coming, in fact last year at Orion I think we had our biggest US turnout at around 5. |

I'll also give it a shot. Probably won't know for sure until the new year though. |

Yeah the reason we decided to do it at Pandemonium is because it was just too hard to find a decent date for it without getting in the way of other events. There will be 2 BB tourneys in Toronto this year counting Spike!, no point in hogging up time for others to do something. |

How long did the drive to Ann Arbor take? I should be able to estimate my time from that. Still trying to figure out if I can go. Anything fun for the Wife in Toronto, this would be our first trip to the Great White North. |

Hey I'll try & attend, it will be my 2nd tournament. Where can I find the info? As in what rules will be used, or what teams will be legal? I tried to link into CanadaBloodBowl.com but found nothing there.
I have my Skaven team ready, but I was pondering the thought of either a Chaos team or a even the "Chaos Pact"
Any info would be great.
Thanks
