Can an Appoth heal a player, from Thow a Rock result or Pitch Invasion?

I know players pused into crowd can not be healed by appoth, but what about my other 2 situations?

Thanks

Whilst we are on the subject, why is the apothecary not able to heal players pushed into the crowd? I just can't see the logic behind this. A few weeks ago in our league we had a Krox killed by the crowd. It just seemed a little harsh, not to mention spiteful, to have to prevent him from using his apothecary.

Probably because of the vast numbers of bloodthirsty fans between him and the player they've torn limb from limb. And before you say it, introducing rules for home & away ends are too complicated for most leagues.

The rule is simple, elegant and a good reason to work for the crowdkill - it offers an alternative for getting SPPs.

We've houseruled to allow the apoth to be used on crowd surfing. The player remains in the dugout though.

The Apothecary isn't allowed because he's not a riot control guy. It's also a bit more hazardous that way! But really, it's an easy way to handle the bit about leaving the healed player on the field in his last square.

Anyway, that's the official rule. The NFL allows Apothecary use on any injury, including crowd casualties, eaten players, etc. Regardless, a healed player is removed to the Reserves box. So no matter what happens regarding the Apothecary, an injured player is removed from play.

In our league we house ruled it so that healed players are removed to the reserves box. (IMO this should be the official rule. We reasoned that the player had to be taken away to be treated. Plus the coach gets the bonus for him causing a casualty whilst his opponent gets to keep his player unhurt/alive.)

I never really saw the crowd as much of an obstacle. Once they've had their fun they have no interest in preventing the apothecary getting to him. In fact if the player is healed they have the opportunity to do it again Twisted Evil . You could equally argue that a professional psychotic (BB player) would not want his 'handiwork' undone so quickly, and would not be above beating on the opposition's apothecary to stop it.

I think that perhaps we should house rule it so that you can use the apothecary on crowd injuries, but I will have to talk to the other league commissioner first. With a league full of rookies it is best not to have too many house rules.

For those who don't know in alot of cases they use charcoal to negate the effect of certain poisons and it has a tendency to make you puke for days.

Are you saying that you award a SPP (a casulty) to a player who pushes a victum into the crowd (who happens to either die or get seriously injured?
I thought that any ijuries from off the pitch would not give the pusher SPP's.

If I'm missreading this, I'm sorry........ Embarassed

By the way, on a totally off topic, what do you guys & goblins think of my signature I wrote?

I think he meant an alternative *to* getting SPPs.
