Just bring on these Spaniards .....my dwarves are the only team Xavi didn't beat during the Chaos Cup with his Welfs.....actually he only tied the game because of the stupid audience throwing the ball to his elf standing next to the endzone in the 8th turn/2n half.
On a side note: I don't think that the same points for a close loss or a tie keeping the "winning" team from going for more points or even the "losing team" from being satiesfied with the score. I think it's inthe nature of every player to "hurt" the opponent whereever possible and take pride in not letting the other team take the full points with 'em....(right Ben? ) And sure, if somebody wants to stall a game so what: 1st he needs to position his team in a way to stall successfully (and yes, there are skulls and 1s to roll for both sides!!), 2nd you can give him s**t about it so he really feels bad and he fianally gives up. But on small tourmanents I think most people go for the fun first and secondly for the title (stalling is not fun for both sides, at least not for more than 2 turns)
Conclusion: I like the way the points are distributed for win-tie-loss! |

Quote: Good, from the above statement it appears you have to win the game to get the bonus. Since that is not the case, you may want to change the wording a bit.
Ah good point, I will change it. |

I agree. In my game with Tim, he could have stalled all day and walked away with max points but he gave me a chance to play the game. In the end the game was more exciting, and I got lucky with some rolls and got max points myself. I really appreciated the opportunity. |

Spanairds or no Spanairds, it does not matter! Had I attended that tourney the Spanairds would have felt the wrath of my Blighted Bloodshed Bandits!
On an upside they can still have thier chance, yes it is true my team will make their 2nd NAF tourney appearance, at the Canadian Open!
Besides I have to bring my coach ranking up, my current 360th & a 145.81, just isn't cutting it.
I'd also like to play that TBBF chap again from the Toronto Games Day Touney, he played W.Elves (they were called Willow Tree Dwellers) or something close to that! Well I must have my revenge match, my 5-1 loss was pathetic, & I won 2 pitch invasions, & at the very best combinened only K.O'd one wood elf, & stunned 6 0r 7 others.
Then there is the other chap who had the goblin team who i thought i should have beat, but only tied 1-1, never helped that i had more than half of my team in the K.O'd box at the end of the game.
All & all my NAF tourney record is W=1, L=2, T=1
But vs other NAF coaches I'm only W=0, L=1, T=1
Ok so maybe my team isn't a great threat after all, maybe I boasted my team's credibility, a tad too much...... or maybe the Spanairds would have wiped the field clean with my fuzzy little Rats. No matter what I will be at the Canadian open, & My Rat Ogre will be thier too, will I get some justice to my squad's lack luster affair last August? Or will I get put in my place again this time around?
I will say one thing though, I am glad this tourney is the Canadian "Open" if their was any ranking to do with it, I'd not even be skilled high enough to sell peanuts at the game!
All & all I look forward to playing you all, & let this be a challenge....(or a really stupid gesture if nothing else )..... Look out for my Skaven, & always remember (read signature)................. |

As far as I know so far just me, But my Buddy who is also an NAF member & who had his W.Elves at the touney, wants to go as well. He's gonna be bringing C.Dwarves this time.
As far as the rest of the league only the Orc team would be close enough to having his team painted to attend, (not sure if he'd come) all others probably not.
besides its a rather small group, 6 guys & 1 gal. |

The more the merrier!
I find tournaments are a good way to get teams painted, it gives you a deadline to work towards. |

Alright I am about 80% sure I will be making the trip with my wife. So if KhanKill can make it we can have the matchup we were going to try for at the Underworld cup. As the top two Human coaches in North America.
Had a quick question about the painting rules as far as properly representing a race could someone use a shadowforge nun team with an elf roster? |

Hmm that is a tough one... personally I think you should go with Amazons for that team, but that being said as long as it's "fluffy" and the positions are clear I guess I don't mind. |

Amazons or humans methinks. For elves, you'd be better off using Shadowforge's new elf team. |

You can't really tell they if they are elves or not, their ears are all covered. No biggie I was just curious in case teh wife decides she wants to play in the tournie she uses the Nuns in our league. But she like them to have more of an agile playing style. But she hasn't decided if she will be playing yet so it doesn't matter. I will be bringing my humans. |
