I've already looked at where the ECBBL play - unfortunately it's a bit too out of my way as I live in Chelmsford and commute to Liverpool Street. Also I'm only allowed one night a week to play as I'm trying not to ignore the wife and kids! My house is a ten minute walk from GW Chelmsford so I play there on veteran's night on Tuesday's (Not tonight though - got stuck at work till 7.30 trying to fix some daft old cow's laptop...)

Are you guys getting the GW Event guys involved? They might give you a hand with the organisation and maybe even lend a prize or two...

Cheers!

I expect they will be - the NAF hasa pretty good relationship with Fanatic so tourneys generally get decent sponsorship.

Heh what's the chance you are going to make it up to Cambridge on veterans nights then? you can join our league!!

Slim to none! I doubt I'd be able to make it on a Tuesday or Thursday night - you'd have finished by the time I get home and drive to Cambridge! I have a hard enough time making it to the Chelmsford store before 7.30 Sad

My gaming groups Blood Bowl league is pretty pitiful at the moment - the Commish stopped coming to the store and most of the players drifted off to play 40K instead. There's a few of us who've tried to keep it going but it's difficult to make sure everyone attends. Oh well...

Maybe we could arrange a one day inter-store tourney for the veterans of the GW stores in the area? All take a day off from work and organise a coach to Lenton for the day?

Only prob for me is that GW Chelmsford doesn't have a manager at the moment so we'd have to organise it with anther store - maybe George at Ipswich branch? He's sorted out trips to Lenton for "Conflict East Anglia" before. That time the coach started at Chelmsford at 5am and stopped at Colchester, Ipswich and Cambridge then up to Lenton. It was a long day but it was good fun and we got to go to Warhammer World for the day. As it was midweek some of the GW staff even came along to see how were were doing.

Something to think about anyway...

Cheers!

Tell me about it Sad Before Dan arrived, I was the only person who wnted to play BB, and for a while after it was only us. Since then though it's taken off a bit and more people are playing. Fecking 40k ruins everything!

Now you mention it, there are upcoming cell tournaments to be held at WW. I'll be part of the Cambridge store team facing Loughborough, Coventry, & Peterborough although sadly Ipswich, Chelmsford & Norwich aren't in there...

I went to a conflict east anglia 40k once (when I was still giving 40k a go) and it was OK. I expect a BB one will be MUCH better though Very Happy

Badger your people there though, we could get a BB East Anglia thing going! I'd like to see cell tournaments culminating in a national store championship but I doubt it'd ever happen.

GW store give no support to BB, the richmond one has, by the looks of it, five-six different Warhammer and 40k leagues or tournements going on over winter and no Bloodbowl. Never mind, if they had set one up I would not be playing at the ecbbl and i would not be having as much fun coming second off bottom Very Happy

So how exactly do we obtain the aformentioned tickets? Have they gone on sale yet? I think I can get a couple more people for the NAF to attend this tourny so I'd like to purchase their tickets asap.
