can a big guy who failed bonehead in his own turn catch attempt an interception?
I should think not but it doesn't say in the description |

I would rule no, but you're right it's not clearly stated in the book. |

I did start a thread on this on TBB about a month ago. I had thought that the big guy would need to roll a bonhead/really stupid in order to attempt the interception, but this is apparently not the case. Again, I'll find a link when the site goes back up.
This is probably something that needs to be added to the list for review/clarification for the next BRRC.
EDIT: ... and here's the thread.

You need the passing band to cross your tackle zone and when your boneheaded you dont have a tackle zone you can't intercept. |

not true - pg 22 of the LRB states:
"... the plastic [range] ruler must pass over at least part of the square the intercepting player is standing in"
So according to the letter of the rules, an Ogre CAN intercept as there is no stipulation that a tackle zone is needed to intercept, and this is all that is lost (read the Bonehead description)
However, it seems to go against the principle of Bonehead, so yes it could do with clarifying. |

Ain't the rule review stated that a Boneheaded/Really stupided/hypnotically gazed player couldn't do anything until his next roll/turn ? Anyway, that's how we're playing it : you're too dumb to Block or Move, you're too dumb for anything !

Don't know about Hypotic Gaze but Bonehead and Really Stupid players only lose their Tackle Zone until their next roll.
According to the letter of the rules there is nothing to stop them intercepting as Indigo says, but you are right it does seem like they shouldn't be able to. |

And they can technically still provide defensive assists, even when boneheaded. |

It's pretty clear in the fluff that they can still defend themselves. Not being able to take an action and wasting a possible blitz is enough of a punishment. |

Bloody hell - I'd always ruled that boneheads COULDN'T assist blocks, but reading the rules on pg 21 of the LRB, the only requirements for an assist are:
1) Must be adjacent to the enemy player
2) Must not be in any enemy tackle zones
3) Must be standing
The important -part is the first one. I'd thought (assumed) that it was tackle zones that were important but the letter of the rules suggest otherwise.
I think THAT needs correcting sharpish |

Yeah, it's obliquely referred to in the Rules Questions for BRCC on Galak's site. Apparently the BRCC didn't change it with the last review, but it is up for discussion at the next one. |

Hypnotic gaze only lasts for the user's turn and automatically ends once play is transferred. The others require a successful roll to be made before the effects wear off |
