So this is my first finished BB skink!
What do you reckon? How could I improve him?
Well any helpful comments will improve my next skink as I have 10 assembled and undercoated and waiting to be painted. I know my painting needs alot of improvement and so I am more interested with what people think of the conversion.... |

Well I can't comment on the paint-job, as it's at least as good, if not a lot better than the team I took to CamCarn. Nothing wrong with the pose either imho. A nice figure. |

I can't see the first picture...maybe it's still loading? The second pic looks good though. Adding shoulder pads makes it look like he belongs on the pitch
Aha, the first one finished loading. I like him quite a bit. Did you use greenstuff? |

He looks pretty good, can't wait to see the whole team (I presume you're going to do conversions for the rest of the team, saurus and krox). |

Looks great, although the pictures are HUGE!
I'd drop down to one armor pad for each Skink. After all, they're Stunty (break easily) and AV 7. Two pads, IMO, are one too many.
Cheers!

I've converted one of mine to be jumping up on one foot with a sculpted catchers mitt for one hand, looks pretty good.
I'm going to sculpt some helmets on some of them too, eventually |

Cheers .
I was considering the pad thing, but then I saw the Norse models... ! Especially the Blitzers, those guys are meant to be amour 7 too .
I think it is mainly the pads that marks them as BB players, so I kept the 2 pads but made them small and light-weight-looking. I think it works .
I think I will have my first Saurus finished tonight, if so I'll post it up.
EDITAhh, maybe I will have to delay that showing. Green Stuff takes ages to dry and I want to get this guy right. So it wil not be ready to paint until tomorrow, I will just have to see if I can another skink finished instead. |

Another Skink then:
This guy has alot more gold on him, based bestial brown so it is not 'too' shiny.
What do you think? I think I'm getting the hang of these little critters, alot easier that the Saurus
I am trying to bulk them out and make them look like their are worth their armour value of 9 and still make them look cool.....
(P.S. Sorry about the size of the pics, I recently re-installed paint on my laptop and for some reason it will not save as 'jpegs' and so I am a bit stuck really....) |
