Anyone use the computer program Army Builder to track their team's progress? I currently use it for 40K and Necromunda, and use Excel and word to track blood bowl.
I am just curious, also, where can I get a good .ab file for Version 2.2C if you do use army builder? |

AB is OK for making rosters for tourneys but not for tracking league progress. If you want the latest BB file just hit "find updates" and it will do it for you.
Get Tim's Halfling Scribe league management sheet, it's the best league management sheet I've seen. (PM "Tim" for the location, or it may be on here for download, I can't remember ) |

It's here on NAF for download and on my site (press [www]). New Version is coming out very soon after the DO, but you can already download a beta version from a thread on the TBB forum (General Chat).
Btw, Indigo, the new Torunament Management sheet is finished as well, would you be interested to help me testing? |

Thanks...i'll look for it again, for some reason the ab fiels are not showing for Blood Bowl on teh 2.2c version...I looked at Tim's sheet, I may or may not use it. My players dont mind the 1-2 day lag in reporting things at the moment, it does look nice though.
hey Tim, does your file have a users guide yet? |

Excel is available for all versions of Windows. It's available on MacIntosh. And there are two Office suits on Linux (Open Office and Star Office) that do the exact same thing and that are completely compatible. What's your excuse for not having it? |

The same reason I don't have it, you need to buy Office (2x, XP, whatever) to get it, it's not available with just the regular home version of OS like XP and I'm not going to go out an buy Office XP just to get excel so that I can use the electronic team roster/ bulders. I haven't seen anywhere that you could get excel by itself. |

You can always download and install Open Office. It's free and it works on Windows as well as Linux. |

Yeah, I used to use Open Office before I got a copy of Office 97 (which I'd used before). It's a big download, but it's worth it if you need/like access to and Excel subsitute.
@ BloodbowlCommish - email me at darkson101 at hotmail.com, and I'll see if I can find the AB BB file. |

User guide is the last main thing that it needs to go from beta to final Right now, however, painting for DO and Dungeon Bowl is top priority, afterwards i'll release the tournament manager and the league manager (with documentation). |

I use Army Builder for working out new teams, warbands, armies, etc but the Blood Bowl datafile is well out of date and unusable for teams that have seen drastic amendments.
So - I've just edited the Necromantic team data file to include the amendments in the BBRC October 2003 Rules review and it seems to be working okay, at least well enough to play around with your team lineup.
If anyone wants a copy, send me an email and I'll send it out.
I might carry on playing with the datafile for all the teams - editing someone else's hard work is much easier than doing it yourself! |
