I was planning on running Nurgle's Rotters in my next league but I've got some questions.
1) The Beast of Nurgle old school fig is to huge for the BB board. Takes up about 4 or 5 squares. The one pictured on a link within this site seems more appropreaite. Where is that one picked up? It's not on the US GW site. At least I didn't see it. If you have a product number that may help.
2) If the Beast of Burgle kills someone (that is not not saved by the apoth) You aquire a new rotter. Cool! Does that include if the Beast partook in a foul that kills a player or is this only by blocks? If by blocks, would a player that is knocked off the pitch that is killed by fans be able to be converted into a rotter? |

It is a new model spawn of chaos. It comes with both 40mm square and round bases, so it is good to go as far as looking like the big guy that it is. I am not sure how well it would lay on its side (claws, tentacles and the like), but I am personally going to find out. It is priced at £10. I bought one Tuesday for my nurgling team It is assembled (needs a bit of greenstuff), but not primed yet.
link to it (UK) is here

Thanks Torpor.
No advice on #2? Well, discussing with our leagues commish and some other experianced coaches it was determined that we are going to treat the BoN kills like an undeads Necromancer with one exception. If BoN was the cause of a kill (foul, assisting with a foul, normal block or pushing a player off the pitch) and the player dies then I may attain a rotter. The only block action that a BoN will not infect is a player that was blocked or blocking and the BoN assisted in the block. Hope that is correct. |

#2) made the foul? Yes. Assisted the foul? No. Blocked into crowd, and then killed by the crowd? No. |

So the only three ways to make a rotter by BoN is
1) Making a block, knock down and kill
2) A block on BoN, the blocker falls down and a kill
3) Making a foul with BoN that causes a kill.
I guess cause your getting a more powerful player than a zombie it should be harder to get a rotter. I wish you could infect your own players between games. Something like "You pay the difference and one nurgle beastman is converted into a rotter. May be done once at end of game before you roll for winnings. All skills and SPP's are lost." This may only be done if you have a BoN on the team.
BTW, thanks and I'll let our leage know about the offical ruling. |

I use a converted Great Unclean One as the Beast, with the addition of two Space Marine shoulder pads.
Looks great, easy to convert (just take the sword and chain off). Stands up without a base, does not take up too much room (though massive!). Lies down gracefully too.
Only one problem - no tentacles. Guess I should have left the chain on (but I did the conversion before the Beast was invented).
After 4 games I am finding the Beast rather useful in offence (especially against AG sides), a bit of a waste of skin in defence (easy to mark out of the game). Break Tackle looks like the key skill for the Beast (mine doesn't have it yet - he took Pro on a double).
Hope this helps.
