Same that would happen to any other gobbo. And the same is true for wizard lightening bolt or fireball. Don't forget however to make the penalty rol at the end of the drive.

If he was only stunned or prone, then i guess he could unstun normally at the start of next turn, and the turn he got back up, he'd have 1 random movement left instead of 4.

I hate to disagree with Zombie after the nice things he's said about me but I don't think the Fanatic can fall over without getting injured.

"If a fanatic is knocked over when he throws a block, he is automatically inuured as the chain wraps itself round his neck." LRBv2.0 p30

I realise that this specifically refers to falling over when he throws a block, but the fanatic cannot go-for-it, does not have to dodge and is never blocked except by another fanatic (when they both fall over). So most other situations that cause players to fall over do not apply.

I think the intent was that the fanatic is always tangled in the ball and chain when he falls over. The fluff at the start (on p29) says that the fanatic is swinging the ball and chain even before the kickoff so I don't think he can just stand up after falling over and start swinging it again.

I guess we don't always agree after all! Wink

Personally I'd go wit Bevan's take, rather than Zombies.

I think Bevan has the spirit of the rules but Zombie appears to be correct as it is written.

I'm not even sure about the spirit of the rule. If that was the intended rule, it would have been easy to say instead "if the fanatic falls down for any reason...", but they didn't.

I back Bevan. I think that if a fanatic is injured being knocked over on a block then he will also be injured being knocked over by any other means.

lol there are plenty of things in the book they could have easily said to clarify this kind of situation but they didn't...

I think the point with the Fanatic is he is always KO'd at the very least. Chances are when it was written no thought at all had been given to ways of knocking the fanatic down other than blocks.

Needs clarifying, I agree, as there are plenty of other situations e.g. kick off table.
