If a beast of Nurgle kills a troll, then does the troll still get to see if it regenerates or is it too late to save it from becoming a rotter?
I would say that they do still get to roll to regenerate, since this rot doesn't kick in until after the match. However, it does say if the player is killed during the game; and a troll can be killed during the game but then come back to life. |

He still gets to roll for regenerate to avoid the rot. |

Isn't the troll to big? I guess only human sized players can become a rotter? |

I thought that too, but I checked the LRB and it doesn't say it... |

He get's his Regen roll. It's the same as if you killed a Human, they'd still get the chance to use the Apo before you get the rotter.
As for the size, unlike Raise the Dead, it's not important on how big they were. Halfling to Orge, they all come back as a Rotter. |

I suppose that the regeneration and the apothecary in fact prevent the player being killed in the first place. A "killed player" should therefore not be declared officially killed until he has failed a regeneration roll or the apothecary has failed to heal him. An apothecary doesn't bring the player back from the dead, he simply stops him dying in the first place.
Perhaps "Fatal Injury" would be a more appropriate term to use in the injury table, which then becomes "killed" if the player is not saved. |

Here a twist on this subject...
Our league's been having some "trouble" with a Beast of Nurgle (BG, Mighty Blow, Tentacles, Regenerate, S5, AV9) that has gained a few "extras" (Block, CLAWS and RAZOR SHARP CLAWS) and there is a mark on his head.
Question: If I turn this Beast into a TOAD with Zap! spell, and kill him during the time that he is a TOAD ... can he still use his Regenerate ability?
IMO: No, as the stat line for the TOAD is specified in the Zap! spell and it does not include Regenerate. Further, Zap! indicates that injuries sustained while a TOAD remain, even when the player reverts back to normal. |

I thought the same, but somebody at bloodbowl.com pointed out that the regeneration rolls take place before the next kick-off after the player has been put into the dead&injured box. But at that point the player will have turned back into his original form as the Zap spell is active "...until a TD is scored or the match ends".
Against common sense the answer would be that the Beast may roll for regeneration... |

True. I should have thought of that. |
