Guys-
I am thinking of organizing a tournament in the Philadelphia Area for mid/late 2005. I was toying with the idea of making it a Dwarf Only event. (Chaos Dwarf Teams could also participate.)

I have a couple of quick questions...
1. How many of you would be interested in attending a Tournament in this area?
2. Would the Dwarf Only theme dissuade any of you from coming?

This is in the formative stages, so ANY feedback is appreciated.

Thanks. -Rob

Woaw...woaw...not everyone at once!!! Rolling Eyes

What is causing the problem here? The Dwarf-Only angle, or is it Philadelphia, or is it the proposed date???

Everything is tentative so again...ANY feedback is appreciated. Very Happy
-Rob

1) The area isn't too far away. Just depends on other factors.
2) I would not attend a dwarf only tourney

Mel-
I'm not absolutely stuck on the Dwarf-Only theme...I just thought it would be a way to level the playing field and would be a truer test of the participants coaching ability. The Chaos Dwarf team was added to allow more variance...but the teams are closely matched. (I also have some ideas on background and fluff around this.)

Again...it's not a deal breaker...I really just want to get an idea of who would be interested in attending a tourney in Philadelphia. I know it will vary quite a bit depending on what other Tourney's are going on and when it is, and most of the details still need to be worked out...I was just trying to guage interest.

Hmm...maybe set up a poll to ask about the Philly area then folks can do a quick vote...you may get more responses.

Limiting teams means limiting coaches becuase folks wont want to buy and paint a new team.

Thats a good point...buying/paining a new team could cause a problem.

Ok, I'll set up a poll and see what people respond.

Thanks Mel!

I might could make it to a Philly tournament, if I could schedule the time off work, but I wouldn't even bother walking next door for a dwarf-only tourney. Sorry.

Yeah I gotta agree that a single race only tourney wouldn't attract many coaches.

Ok...Ok...Bad idea...I'm sorry. I really like the Dwarf Fluff and thought I could do that up.

I would much rather have a fun/successful tournament and appreciate your feedback. Now that I know what you are NOT interested in...anyone want to give me an idea of what they WOULD like to see?

Thanks again. -Rob

Always interested in a tourney, and since I have a CD team I wouldn't mind the restriction. It's jsut a matter of time and whatnot for me. With a snotling on the way I hear that my time's gonne be harder to come by than cheap re-rolls.
