i think other teams would have no real need for the extra 100k.
i used orc with Varag at the BB my roster was:-
3 Blitzers
3 Black orcs
1 Varag
1 ogre
1 thrower
1 line man
1 goblin
2 re rolls (inc Varags)
3 FF
drop varag and add 100k thats an extra 260k to spend!!! which would let me max out on blitzers and BOB's!!!
I hope that wasn't your bb roster because that looks to me like 10k over the million. 24+24+16+12+7+5+4+6+3=101k. |

I'd certainly say go to 1.1 million. It allows for much more team variety, and different team choices. One person commented on the strength of 4 BoB's and 4 Blitzers, but if you look across each race you can build a very strong team. It allows the DE's and HE's to build a manageable team, whilst in the 1 mill environment they struggle to be competitive.
I'd prefer to see no star players, but there should be a cap of one per team.
Teams should not start with a skill. Certain players (and teams) benefit far more from the acquisiton of skills and it forces you to play one game without that benefit.
I like the one skill per game, and no traits or mutations.
A free mini would be nice.....
Changes to the scoring system. Sportsmanship is a joke at the mo, and a draw and 1 point loss should have a slight difference.

Well in Amsterdam I was drinking beer and still didn't win. Must be because it was Heineken (and hurrah for Bugman's serving Grolsch!)

1) More tickets for the Tournament [one only Italian player it's not enought! We're strong, and me must show the world our ability (I'm joking)]
2) No star players
3) More money [I personally play Dark Elves... with just a million, we're not able to do nothing! ]
4) Create national Tournaments, and giving some tickets to winners of each ones... in order to avoid having tons of english [nothing againts them... I love Englad... I study, in fact, in an English University ] but just the highest level of players from all around the world.
5) More tickets
6) More tickets!!! [yes, I stayed at home... ] |

There were a lot of coaches who weren't British - 14 or 15 nationalities represented.
I don't think there will be any more tickets as Warhammer World is full with 100 Blood Bowl games going on. |

That's why I propose to give some tickets to the winners of national championships: if just 140/150 coaches can partecipate at the Tournament [that's a pity ], we must create a pre-selection, and avoid the very ugly "the first who calls, gets the ticket".
And, doing so, we can create real national throphies... with thir own importance. Just think that this year, at the first Italian Championship, held during the Italian Golden Demon, only 16 teams partecipated....
I'll do an example of my idea:
140 tickes divided by the number of nations which have a NAF member [I repeat... it's an example...] = number of tikets for every nation
If a nation has less than this number of partecipants interested, the surplus of tickets will be divided by the nations who are more interested in partecipate.
Doing so, we will have the REAl BloodBowl Tournament, which will be contended by the REAL best coaches of the world!
Obviously that's just an idea.... |

I don't like the idea actually.
I still believe that BB is a game of fun first and competiviness second. If people see that it will be a really competitive "magic the Gathering" like tournament, it will scare them off.
So, I hope they will keep doing it the same way.
Furthermore, although it's the largest tournament, it's probably not the best. Smaller tournaments like the French Open are tournaments with much more preparation and organised in much more detail (like cheap sleeping accomodation).
So, like the conservative bastard I am, I hope not too much will change.

I realise you were unfortunate and didn't get a ticket, but when they sell out so fast you know you are getting hardcore BB fans. |

The irony of you being at an English University is that, if you were in Italy, the tickets would have gone on sale at 10am, not 8am due to the timezone difference. Not as much coffee required
Actually, I called at 12:30 (GMT) and got one, so there seems to be no problem in the first five hours of sales. Was quite quiet too by the time I called.
Oh, and I totally agree that it should be kept non-competitive. I saw at two coaches who pretended not to understand the words "Illegal Procedure". Strange really as the tickets were booked in English, the rulebook at the tournament was in English, and ... >sigh< never mind it's just a game, right? |
