Thus resolving the original question...yes, you can push B out of bounds as you resolve the Pushback on A first, then do the push on B.. |

I was always under the impression that you had to take the path of least resistance on pushes, and that the sideline was more resistance than a player, apparently i was incorrect. |

On pushes, you have to pick an empty square 1st, then out of bounds, then another player. In fact, you can't choose to push a player into another player if you are able to push them out of bounds instead. |

Actually i've heard that you can, though i can't think of too many cases where you'd want to. Personally however, i've always played that you can't. |

The last time this was discussed I argued that you could push into a player rather than the crowd if you really wanted to as the rules don't distinguish between them. (I have always treated the sideline as an occupied square.)
IIRC they then went and Q&A'd it so that you have to push into the crowd. Not a ruling I particularly liked. |
