OMM/TORG-
I plan on touching base with Gken1 and Skummy tonight to make plans for this, and I am unsure of what they have set accomodations-wise, but I am also hoping to grab one of those rooms near the venue.
I'll PM you tonight when I have more info.

I had already contacted Skummy and Ken about sharing a room and they said they already had 4 people sharing their room so if I wanted to I'd have to sleep on the floor. I'm presuming the same response to your inquiry. So I would be interested in splitting a room with you, what do you think (your own bed would be better than a floor I'm sure). |

Excelllent! You be the one to get the room, you will probably arrive in Orlando sooner than me. |

Ken/Skummy-
I want to be sure that I plan around you guys...I have a couple of quick questions. Which Hotel are you guys staying at? The Comfort Inn where OMM set aside rooms, or at the Day's Inn that was proposed by someone else in this thread. (Sorry that I don't remember who it was... )
Also, are you guys shooting for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday at the hotel, or is Sunday night for travelling back to DC?
Please let me know when you get a moment.
Thanks. -Rob
OMM- Are any of the rooms left that you set aside? If yes, should I mention your name while making a reservation there?
Thanks in advance. -Rob |

Jim-
I'm sorry if this is stupidity, or playing semantics, but...is the Tourney Hotel a Comfort Inn or Comfort Suites? I believe that they are both part of the same chain, and the one at UFC is a Comfort Suites, but I wasn't able to drum up a room there. I mentioned the revered name of OldManMonkey and they shockingly didn't know who I was talking about. (I obviously used your "real" name during the call, but they didn't see anything.)
Please let me know what you can, when you can...
Thanks. -Rob
P.S. Torg, I don't drive so I sort of need to be at the place where the most folks (Namely Gken1 and Skummy) are staying. This might not fit after all. |

I still have a couple of rooms left in reserve under my girlfriend's name, so let me know if you and Torg want one... I have places for:
Rita and I
Louis and Yohann
Phil and the Bowen clan
Norse and Mz. Ramz
Gortex and the Texas clans
Ken, Skummy and the DC group
Ben and his girlfriend
you and Torg, if you want them
Also, I spoke to the hotel and they have already closed those nights for advance but the odds are good that anyone looking for rooms for the weekend will have them - they are taking walkins at that point... |

Jim-
Please sign us up for one of those rooms. I don't want to take a chance just in case. After all...it's always better to be prepared. For example...I am always sure to have my passport when traveling internationally.
-Rob
P.S. I have not yet heard back from Mr. Lewis, but I was hoping that you and/or he could be on hand for the Philly Phrakus. Any chance of seeing you there? |

Well, as things stand at the moment, April through July may be time spent concentrating on relationship, combining two households, and consolidation, and my BB travels, both foreign and domestic, will most likely be curtailed. Hate to miss Jay's latest tourney effort, for I firmly believe Jay has traveled enough and knows the ingredients for a great time. But for me it will be effort well spent and I will make up for lost time in 2006...
The caveat is of course that if the wheels come off and all hell breaks loose, my Euro plans are back on track...
I'll introduce you to the reason for my stayathome-ness next week... |

I spoke with John last night and it sounds as if John and I are in much the same mind - involved with a life partner and in the process of deciding where and how to live. He sounds great and still plans to host a 24 hour BB event in NYC around November (which I think would be awesome...) |

I second Karl's statement, please sign us up for one of the rooms. Thanks. Sorry to hear you're having domestic problems, hope things work out for you.
Anyway, I'm starting to get excited about going to the tourney, a little over a week!! |

Are you teasing me? I sure hope so, otherwise you have the darnedest knack for misinterpreting posts - my domestic desire is a very good thing in the long run - Rita loves BB and will make the trip(s) to Europe next year for the BB, Tulips, etc...
After rereading your post several times, I think you're pulling my leg - dryly.... |
