Do you get skill advancement as part of the tournament? |

Are you sure the roster is legal for the tournament? The team you are proposing is well over 100K, but I know some tourneys allow for more so it might be okay.
That aside, I play a similar team in tourneys and they do well (despite my poor tactics and horrid die rolls!). |

Well now. Since I did those #'s at work here is the up dated team.
4 linemen
2 Catchers
1 Throwers
4 Blitzers
1 Ogre
1 RR
1FF
1 Apoth
Yes there are skills. 1 to start, 2 after the first, 1 after the second, 2 after the third. I have played lizards and did well with them. Wanted to try humans this time around. Would have answered sooner, but my work compter has problems posting to the site. |

I don't have alot of experience playing Humans, but I would suggest more than 1 reroll. I'd personally be tempted to dump the Ogre for a second Thrower and another reroll. IMHO, you've got to keep the Apoth, cause the Catchers are gonna get squished quickly.
As far as skills go, consider giving the Catchers SideStep or Leap. They'll become bigger targets, but you'll be able to get them out of trouble a little more easily. |

you don't need a second thrower at a tournament...that's what you have the Apo for.....Give Catchers Block and they should survive the tourney fairly well...unless you play against a lot of Dwarf teams |

My tournement history with Humans nonwithstanding...here is my suggestion.
1 Ogre
4 Blitzers
2 Catchers
1 Thrower
3 Linemen
1 Apoth
1 FF
2 RR
If you're able to give the Big Guy a skill...start with Guard on the Ogre...you'll get the most for your money that way. Unless...you are going into a tourney that rolls for skills...on a double a tourney Ogre with Block would be real nice...then again so would a Blodging Blitzer.
I would split my skills between Blodging Catchers and Guard Blitzers. Depending upon your style of play Accurate is nice for the thrower....and I'd consider starting with Kick as a starting skill as well. It is very valuable to be able to drop the ball into a spot and force your opponent to go get it...it also helps to prevent him/her from successfully overloading one side of the field.
I suck...but there are my thoughts anyway.

P.S. Do you think that Vince Lombardi could throw a spiral 40-50 yards downfield? That doesn't mean that he didn't know what he was talking about. |

Well, if I get off my lazy butt and finish painting the males for the tournament I will be playing them. If not I will just go with my Lizzies. |

i would say i dont fear the catchers much in torni play, maybe best thing on team is blitzers. Not sure that 4 blitzers loads of RR, 1 thrower ogre squad aint the best for overall use; but would say performs well vs most styles.
depends how you play... |
