This is going to probably come up in our next season being that freebooted starplayers will be allowed.
During the hire freebooters/wizards/and starplayers which coach goes first, or can one coach say that he wants to hire the same star player to keep you from using him? (orcs vs. goblins for ex) Or do both write them down in secret and reveal at the same time? What do you guys think? |

I believe you reveal at the same time and if you both take the same guy he takes both of your money and doesn't show. Not sure, but that's what I seem to recall....maybe it was ahouse rule I read somewhere....I'll look when I get home. |

I think there used to be some sort of bidding rules (house rules of course) that you could use to see who the star player played for... |

I think you dice off to see which team he plays for, but for the life of me I can't find the rule in the LRB. Maybe it's just a my league's houserule that I'm getting confused with. Anyone else know where to look? |

Found it...pg18 LRB:
"Each Star Player may be hired once per team. It is
possible (though unlikely) for both teams to hire the
same Star Player, If this happens then neither may use
him and he keeps both sets of hiring fees!" |

Thank you, Agentrock. Oh boy. My league's going to have to revote this now.
EDIT: I realized after posting you could take that the wrong way. Really, I'm happy to be corrected on this. |

I understood the part about if both hire the same guy he takes the money and runs. What I was asking is if you can wait for your opponent to declare who he is hiring and then intentionaly choose to hire the same guy in order to prevent him from being used? |

I'd imagine your league would have to make a rule about it. Either you announce openly and have the chance to do this, or you hire freebooters in a double blind fasion and reveal them to each other. We're going to vote on it tonight, and I'm guessing we'll wind up with a double blind solution. |

It'd be interesting to hear what you guys vote on with this...do you think this could be clarified in the LBR on some future date? |

A question about that Hot List...can anyone add items to the list or is it just BBRC members? |

Oh, it's open to anyone, and updated by Galak. Posting your question on the topic in talkbloodbowl.com is the best way to get it considered. Last year, the additions and items for consideration were largely based on the list. Last year's Hot List and answers looked like this:
