Hey Guys,
I'd like to thank everyone for coming out. Had a great time hanging with everyone.
We had 12 people total (13 if you count me, but I didn't get to play ) Not bad for our first year.
I'd like to thank KarlLagerbottom (Rob) for his great work on the tournament. The trophies he lined up for us were great. I especially like the Rocky Balboa memorial trophy.
Here are the results:
First place (Best Tactitian) : Skummy
2nd place : gken1
MVP (Most points after the 2 above) : bampf
Most TDs (21): Skummy
Most Cas (16): Zinak
Least TDs (5): Anthony (new to NAF)
Wooden Spoon: Justin_Kase
Best Painted: Bampf
Best Sportsman: Justin_Kase
See the tournament website for more details

Can't be. Everyone on TBB said High Elves can't win a tournament. Everyone knows the posters over there know everything and can't be wrong. Clearly you got your standings wrong.
I'm glad to see Val wa a good sport about losing all those matches. That's no surprise. He's one of my favorite coaches to play against. Really a great guy! At least he tore the crap out of the Tourney winner! |

Did you and Skum really play each other in rounds 4 and 5? That just seems a bit odd, especially since you guys can play each other when your'e home. Why travel someplace just to play someone from your home league? |

Unfortunately, they both played too well. They were supposed to meet in round 3. I was able to adjust them since the players beneath them had already played. But they both won that game and built up too many points to be caught.
Since the final round was a championship, I couldn't adjust them out of it. |

Well, I wanted to play down in the last game, but chris wanted to play me again in the championship game since it was a championship game. ----I gave up more TD's to him in those two games than I have in any tournament ever I think........ whew. |

I ll chime in as well with big thanks to Jay and Rob for a great tourney.
Some of my tourney highlights-
This was the fourth tourney that we were both at and for the first time I actually got to play gken (and battled him to a tie).
In five games I played 3 Orcs and 2 Skaven. That s just silly.
Had one Saurus score 2 TDs over the course of the weekend. Two! And I failed a 2+ roll for a third.
Val was out of control, modeling mutations as he took them... that s just crazy and one of the best things I ve ever seen at a tourney!
Anyways, thanks again for a great tourney. I ll have some pics posted shortly. |

Whoa... Val was doing WHAT? That's awesome... I've seen where coaches brought a large backlot of figs with various mutations but converting as you go?!?!?! That's hardcord, VC... |
