OK, every league I've layed in has started with TR 100, but I was wondering how much of a difference starting at TR110 makes during a league.
Also, which do people feel plays better in a tournament - 100 or 110? |

A local league I have been playing in allows players to choose one player as their "captain" this player gets a free roll at the start of the league. I personally like it, as even thought it is only one skill, it does break up being "all fresh teams", and even two teams of the same race will now have their own distinctness.

TR 110 in a tourney gives Elves a chance to be competitive. Over 10 - 15 games it won't really make any difference, but early on it will mean that some teams are going to stock up big on rerolls.
I'd suggest that if you're going to run a scheduled league and want to make sure all the teams are fairly competitive, just give everyone a free apothecary. Should keep anyone from getting too beat up early on and keep things fun. |

But what about the undead and Nurgle teams? |

The simple answer is that they don't need the help.
If your commish disagrees, give 'em 50 K extra. But Khemri, Necros, and Undead are solid enough rosters that they're fine without the bump - especially without aging, and I'd also suggest no aging in a short term league. There's no point to it. |

We are doing 112 for this season of the HBBL 110+2mvp's on a captain to start so that he has a skill. Captains are immune to ageing but everyone else isnt. This is the first season we are going to allow teams to continue in the next season though. Previously we did TR100 and reset (no ageing at all). |

IMO there isn't any need to tweak the starting values for a league. Some teams have a weak start and a strong finish (e.g. Chaos, Elves) - others rock early on then fall by the wayside (e.g. Norse, 'zons). So long as everyone knows and understands that and how it fits into the league structure then there isn't an issue. It doesn't need to be even - just fair. |

Wow. TR 115? You can build a hell of a High Elf team with that.
4 Lion Warriors
2 Dragon Warriors
1 Pheoenix
5 Lineman
1 FF
1 Apo
Pretty cool. |

*yick* Just shudder at the thought of stopping 'em. You win against Elves at low TR by taking them off the field. That roster's pretty tough to pare down. |

Trust me, 110 is enough for Elves to be competitive. |
