Hey everybody! If you happen to be going to Games Day Baltimore bring your BloodBowl team!
The Adventurer's Guild (and mostly myself) will be running a one day TR 100 LRB 4.0 BloodBowl tournament. This is very short notice, but there was a major breakdown in communication between GW and us.
First round starts at 11:00 and we re shooting for a three round swiss tourney.
Teams get one normal skill before Games 1, and 2. And a doubles skill before game 3.
LRB rules save Dirty Player is +1/+1, and we ll using a custom d66 kick-off table.
Sorry for the short notice (so obviously this one ins t NAF sactioned), but GW is promising some really nice prizes for Tourney Winner, Runner Up and Best Painted. |

Awesome!
There should be at least 3 or 4 from Harrisburg, so I can at least guarantee a different oponent in every round! |

Thanks to all who participated in our impromptu GD Tourney!
Despite the short notice we had a respectable 12 players for all three games.
Jay Deckman (jaylazer) won the tournament with his dwarfs edging out Rob Santos (squatront) and his orcs 1-0 in the third round.
Tourney runner up was myself with Lizards.
Most brutal and best painted was Rob s orcs.
Most TDs went to Rob Ottaviano (KarlLagerBottom) and his Skaven.
Sorry this wasn t NAF sanctioned guys. We ll be sure to coordinate with GW earlier next time.
Congrats to Jay who got a really nice Rogue Trader Tourney trophy from GW.
There were three 2-0 teams going into third round so I missed the chance to play against Jay by a few points... so I m looking to call him out at the Death Cup!! No ducking me this time! |

Congrats to the Harrisburg Mafia for running an awesome tourney despite GW's best efforts to the contrary...Mongo great work once again.
Thanks.
P.S. When will the BUTTON get pushed on this one?
JUST KIDDING! |

Thank Bampf et al for putting this together so quickly. I did have a great time down there (of course winning sure does help that )
It's always good to get several games of BB in. I'm glad I check here on Friday night or I would have never known about the tournament.
I do have to say that I was a little shocked that GW actually initiated this. They actually wanted to support Blood Bowl. It's amazing!!
Thanks for the good time everyone. |

The GW guy who was our point of contact seemed really enthusuastic about running these. Only problem is he s swamped come GD/GT time. He asked what it would take to make the Baltimore GT tourney the premier BloodBowl event in the states.
So it seems they are willing to commit some time and resources. I figure I ll start compiling a list of things they d need to do to make Baltimore the site of what would essentially be a US equivalent to The Blood Bowl. |

I think it just comes down to getting the word out. There are plenty of bloodbowl players in the area. |

Along with advertising the tournament, they need to advertise some real prizes or a limited edition miniature. And by miniature I don't mean a coin. I don't think coins really bring people in.
It would need to be in White Dwarf for sure. At least 3-6 months in advance. The more advance notice the better. |
