I've knocked up a quick Bloodbowl Font, as I really don't like Gutcruncher
Large Image
Still quite rough, the letters need tidying up to make them more uniform.
worth finishing? |

Here is a copy of the font. Only a couple of letters are finished and there are no numbers/punctuation (apart from *) but there are rough versions of all lower and upper case letters to try.

If anyone wants to download it and post any comments here it will help me get it finished |

I initially though that Gutcruncher doesn't look too good but then I have noticed that the font does work in large size and when you do a 2-Pixel wide frame around the latters, like I did here:

Just a thought...
But the star is a cool addition. |

| I just think it is nothing like the BloodBowl Logo, which this one is based on. I've actully designed it you can put a bevel on it in photoshop to make it look even better (hence the small spikes) |

If you can, knock up a version with numbers and some symbols in (specifically & ")
looks good though, do you mind if I try it out in the Carnage III tourney pack? |

Looking good. I agree with Indigo about a complete version of the font. I know I know "if you want it finished help out". I've tried my hand previously at making fonts and I'm not at all good at it. I'll sit on the sidelines and cheer you on though  |

Done. The & was tricky but I think it works. What do you think? Of couse you can use it, more people who do the happier I'll be

Thanks for the support, always nice to know others think it is a good idea.
I wasn't about to ask for help so far it is only about 6 hours work while sitting in front of the TV after work, with maybe 2 more before it is at a final draft. From then only changes based on feedback will be made. I'd hate to think how much work it would be if it wasn't all regular shapes and straight lines!  |

The font is finished, but unfortunatly I wont be able to post a copy of it.
The GW IP site says

Unfortunately, GW cannot allow third parties to use our trademarks without properly crediting our ownership, lest they be damaged. With fonts, it is difficult, if not impossible, to use the marks and credit Games Workshop as rightful owners. Accordingly, do not use our IP in relation to fonts.
I'm going to try and get it through GW IP people anyway, but don't hold your breath that it will be ok'd |

Sounds like, "Thanks but no-thanks." So why can't you post a copy of it? It's not a BB font and it doesn't include any GW IP. They're just saying they won't endorse any font.
Now you might not be able to call it a Blood Bowl font or a Warhammer font and you couldn't use the Citadel ship in any of them but there is absolutely nothing preventing you from creating a font. A font is a font. Even gutcruncher is someone else's IP or public domain. Aren't there websites where people post fonts they've come up with? Just declare your avaliable for public use and Let's have it. |

| Both the Bloodbowl Logo and the Bloodbowl 'spike device' are copyright of GW, and to be honest they both feature heavily in my font. I've e-mailed GW legal etc and I'll see what they say 1st. |
