in the rules, a bug guy cannot use team rerolls, but can they use leader rerolls?

also, are star players like Morg N Thorg and Ripper Bolgrot considered big guys? it mentions them not counting against the big guy limit for a team so I would think they are.

thanks for the help.

Yes, Big Guys can use Leader and Trophy rerolls. They are able to use Pro, but can't use Cheering Fans or Brilliant Coaching rerolls.

None of the star players have the big guy characteristic, and are able to use regular old rerolls.

What's a bug guy? Laughing

Skummy's got it pegged. I just laughed when I read that. I need to go convert a Tryanid now. Very Happy

Could somebody refer me to the page number in the LRB where it says that Big Guys cannot use team re-rolls. I know this rule was in 4th edition but I cannot find it in the LRB. Of course, I might be blind. Wink

Thanks!

Nevermind, I found it under the Big Guy skill on page 26 of the .pdf Embarassed

LRB Page 26, under Racial Characteristics-Big Guy:
"Big Guy
Big Guys prefer to work on their own, and in any case are not noted for paying terribly much attention to what is going on in team practice sessions! As a result, Big Guys may not use Team Re-rolls during their actions."

Obviously, Agentrock didn't see my updated post that was updated mear seconds after my initial post, in which I found the rule and listed the page number in the LRB pdf. I just didn't want want to get flamed for spamming but I guess I should have sent a second post to avoid the confusion.

Nope...I didn't see it when you updated it...I must have been in mid-response with mine (cutting and pasting from the LRB, etc.). No problem!

From the offical FAQ

      Quote:
Q: Can Big Guys use non-Team re rolls, such as Leader and Trophy re rolls?

A: Yes. Though Trophy and Leader re rolls function like Team Re rolls in most respects, they are separate. Big Guys can benefit from being on a winning team, or being in the presence of a Leader just like any other player.

I can't ever seem to be able to cut and paste from the LRB. Nothing will highlight for me. What am I doing wrong?

Well, it's a PDF file so you're not able to cut & paste from it unless there's a secret I don't know about. I usually just have to retype the paragraph, but I'm a fairly fast typist, so it doesn't bother me all that much.

I guess I can let my secret out... Very Happy

You can cut and paste phrases from a PDF file by using the "Text Select Tool"...which is the button at the top of the viewer and to the right (the one that has a capital "T" with a small dotted box next to it). Click on that and then highlight what you want to cut and paste. To turn off the selective tool, click on the button again.

Due to the multiple columns of the LBR, the highlight tool will try to get the other columns of text at times...so all you have to do is to edit the unwanted text lines out after you paste (and usually the unwanted text is grouped together instead of split line by line).
