let's face it, Blood Bowl is more enjoyable when you play with a painted team (and even more when you play on a custom built board! )
Like so many of you out there I have WAY too many models to paint, and always acquiring more - and getting ideas for different teams.
I feel that I need to commit myself to something, somewhat of a resolution if you will, but felt that I needed to announce it, so that those who know me will help to pressure me to stick to my goals.
I have six teams which I am currently working on, which are: orcs, goblins, vampires, ogres, nurgles' rotters and bunnies. I make the pact now that I will not start another team until I have finished all of the above.
Furthermore, I am planning on starting a local BB7's league and wanted to custom build a board for that. I will not start work on the board until I have completed (including basing) one of the teams.
If you are in the same boat, with too many half completed projects, take the pact and make it concrete by announcing your intentions! Better yet make some deadlines!
It's time to get painting!

I, too, have a lot of going on and it's true, you should make one thing ready before starting with a second 'project'.
I'm currently building an Orc Team plus making BB 7's boardz out of pillow covers ( ) plus I'm also making my own Dungeon Bowl rulez (so that they'll fit with the Living Rulebook 4). |

Yeah, I guess buying would also be included in "starting", because if I buy the team I intend to play with them!
But being such a long time player of the GW games, I have tons of plastic sprues lying around with lots of potential for other teams - skaven, dwarves, norse (chaos marauders) to name a few.

Yep, and even with proxy figs (though we try to have the correct figs if we can).
For tourneys I will always take a painted team though (even if it means I have to borrow one). |

I also have been doing plenty of soul searching as I get older about the large amount of figs and limited time to paint PLUS the lack of players in my area. After collecting enough for Full teams of just about every official team, I am actually planning on selling off some teams which I have little desire to paint and/or play. I have also made a committment to try to do teams that can fill 2 or more rosters (my Valk team will work for Amazon, Norse , and Human). This STILL leaves me with WAY tOO many figs, but its a start.
I STILL will have enough BLOD BOWL to paint for about 6 years, plus some Mordheim gangs and Necromunda). I realized years ago to stick with the skirmish games at least since I would NEVER be able to finish an ARMY before the rules would change. |

Ooh, I know what you mean. My armies for WHFB/WH40K are armies that have survived several reincarnations of the rules, always adapting to the new set of rules
I'm now starting on a heavily converted Orc-team for BB (based on the plastic-boxed set for WHFB). Currently only a few linemen left to convert and then I'll post some pics for public flaming |

One team down! The Nurgle's Rotters team has been completed, including basing, and protective coating. Now I will begin custom building the BB7's board in their honour.
However, playing a game with the bunnies today has really made me want to take the brush to them again.....
Look for pics of the Rotter team - coming soon!

No i am a good boy
Only start one team and crack on until they are done. So far last year and a half I have painted 7 teams but more important is the fact that very few things I play are not painted. Keep the faith |

Just found this thread again - had forgotten about it! Another team is done - the goblin team made it's way to the Canadian Open in February. Sometimes the best motivation for me to paint is a tournament in hwich I plan to use the team.
