This is ugly but it gets the idea across. I can always send the paper sketches via snail mail. It's a jab at Madden's infamous six turkey legs at Thanksgiving for those unfamiliar with the tradition. The fling on the right is chewing a mouthful and the turkey is sitting on the NAF shield.
Also di an orc in the heisman pose...called the Heizork and one with some snotlings struggling to keep the NAF shield aloft, the shield itself being the trophy. |

How is the vote going to be structured?
Will it simply be one poll, most votes wins like the elections we've had so far? Or something more complex like single transferable vote, points based on ranking in order of preference or eliminate last placed each round until first placed passes 50%?
Also should we organise another mass mailing to make all the members aware that there is another big vote on? |

I've got a couple more efforts to post yet, but what I'd like to see is more discussion and refinement rather than simply picking an outright winner at this point. We'll run a series of polls and discussions, narrowing the field, perhaps taking some elements of different designs, considering the practicalities of casting etc. I'll post later this evening to get the process underway. |

From Tasca (Mrs VB):
From gken (".... the idea is a cup trophy with NAF shield on both sides with angel wings sprouting out from the sides. the base is leaves with vines going up circling the trophy."):

Hey that helmet on the pile of Skulls is pretty good. My favorite so far. |

I must say that so far there's two designs I like. The plaque-and-ball thingy and the idea of a badly damaged helmet. Preferably without a pile of skulls, that's just over the top and more befitting a wargame than a sports game.
Actually in that sense the plaque is probably best. But since the ball is already on the shield, why have a ball there to support it? Why not a BB player raising the plaque above his head? |

Hmm, how about a gauntled hand holding aloft a damaged helmet, with the NAF shield embosse on the back?
Can't find any refernce pics, but I'm sure anyone who's seen the Superbowl will understand what I mean. |
