Post subject: Blocking Dice and Range Rulers

I just got off the phone with GW mail order. I didn't expect them to sell range rulers, but now they tell me that aren't carrying blocking dice! Does this mean the only way to replace any missing dice is to buy the $60+ box set? What the F is going on there!?
I guess I'm down to making spare range rulers for our league, but can anyone tell me of a place anywhere that you can purchase blocking dice from? |

I know it's not the same, but you could just assign the block dice results to values on a d6 (eg. 1= skull, 2= block/skull, etc.)
Not ideal, but beats the hell out of paying $60 for dice! |

| that's the unfortunate plan for now. Ironically, the battle bunker near my home is bringing back many of the specialist games to the store, including Blood Bowl. It's gonna kill sales if people see teams they want, but won't buy because there is no way to get accessories for them. I'll have to place a call in to the District Manager and some of the store managers to see if they have any copntacts on the inside they can call on. |

Well boys and girls, I decided I would place a new order anyway, just to see what would happen. Lo and behold...they shipped! I guess I called/emailed enough that someone got off their butt and looked in the storage bins to see if anymore blocking dice existed...and they found some. However, they are extremely limited. So much so that they have an amount listed on the website as to how many remain. When last I looked a few minutes ago, the remaining total was 55. So if you need them, go to the US online store quick and get them!
Moral of the story - Even when dealing with GW, sometimes bitching/moaning/whining/crying can get things done! |
