Any one of those excuses, while completely fictitious, would have sufficed if NAF didn't have a ranking system for all to see. All folks need to do is look at your record to see what the story of that game was all about! Smile

All I know is that the your AG 4 Skink took the choke...and didn't get his sea-legs in enough time. 3-2 Final with a gift TD to let you get it close. Smile

EDIT: Leave Garth alone...if I remember correctly he's still relatively new to the game. And he's a good guy who doesn't post while taking spirits.

I know Garth knows Im just busting chops,& if Garth is offended, I'm sorry. But I know he's not offended, why isn't he offended, cause he's Canadian! We don't get all teary eyed & emotional, like those lads to the south! (Well we may get a bit teary-eyed, but thats only due to the over-whelming joy of raising the Death-Bowl Axe in absolute VICTORY!)

P.S. Lagerbottom, in the rematch match, your toast! Twisted Evil

Okay guys, the fun with Billy has gone rather too far. Let's keep things back to being fun and happy on the Blood Bowl topic. Even if he did set himself up.

Hey guys, do you think Billy's mom would prefer the cavernous rear seat of my Cadillac on the leather seats or should i just lay her down on the new deathbowl field with the rotating lazy susan, so that we can all take turns?

Have you met Billy in real life? He's a pretty big guy.... you might think twice before going on about his mum that much...

(just a sugestion.

Just having some fun guys. Nothing personal meant at all. But we are getting off of the Blood Bowl Topic aren't we? If we've gone to far, I'll be the first to apologize.

All of that colorful banter aside, this should be one heck of a tournament. I'm still trying to imagine how a 4-way game will turn out. I've noticed that there have been a number of teams on the tougher end without as much speed. My biggest question on the Death Bowl match is what is more valuable, toughness or speed?

Actually with Bill's dice rolling skills having an alternate to roll the dice for him might not be such a bad idea. Razz

@ steel thunder - I have played a few games of Deathbowl, and IMO speed tends to win out over brutality. Things get so crazy that what often ends up happening that in the mad scramble a ball will pop loose, be picked up by one player who will pass it to a faster player who will then run it in. It is really hard to muscle the ball in slowly, necause once you start getting close the other three teams are on you!

@Clan-Skaven - do you believe in karma? I hope not, because my thought is that you will face Garth in the Deathbowl and he is going to KICK YOUR A$$! That would be supreme payback for all your blabbermouthing against him. A good guy who doesn't deserve it!

And as for the Canadians not crying about a little friendly banter, we know that is not true of a certain resident of Montreal...... (God Bless) Laughing

I actually meant to write SteelThunder in referance to the underside of me dear mum's Ford. That's what I get for posting on little to no sleep... Sorry Mel... Embarassed

Oh-- while I'm here--

Picture it:

After a hard fought match between Mel's broken a$$ Necromantic and my cursed Humans I have possesion of the ball in the final turn of the second half. Knowing my luck I'll have to succeed some crazy ass play to get the go ahead TD. Should I, by some miracle, succeed in getting that play off I know exactly what I' going to say:

(In the raspy voice of Darth Vader): Rob *inhale/wheeze/exhale/*...Rob *inhale/wheeze/exhale*....

!!!!!!!!!!!!WHO'S YOUR DADDY ROB?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I was wondering why you were asking me to move out to Brampton. I thought you just wanted to start a league Smile

The varied possibilities of the Death Bowl have me leaning towards the Chaos Dwarfs for a few reasons:
1) The team offers some pretty cool flexibility of players
2) It is the most recent team I've collected and have hardly seen any action yet.
3) My new models are not the "pointy-hats"...I used Chaos Dwarfs I customized from the Warhammer Storm of Chaos Hell Cannon crew.
4) I've played regular dwarfs so many times, and though I love them, I want to try something a little different.

The other team I'm considering is Humans, as they too have some good flexibility as well. The roster I would use would actually allow me to start with an Ogre and that could be a boon as well in this style of tournament.

I think regular dwarfs are more than tough enough, but as you mentioned Spazzfist, I think some speed is going to be required. I really like the Bull Centaurs, they are such cool players. The models suck, that's why I modified a pair of Centigors, they look much better with my team.
