Last weekend during a league game we had a Skaven player that had a rat ogre on the field. The rat ogre was standing next to a goblin with a ball and chain. The wild animal of the rat ogre says he must make a block against the goblin. The ball and chain states the player can not be blocked.
We decided that the rat ogre could not move away due to the wild animal and could not throw a block against the goblin so the rat ogre had to stand there, BUT we would like to get some input from the other coaches on how they would handle this?
Any ideas? |

Woah ! Tough one!
I'd be tempted to say that the only exception that the Ball and chain carrier can be blocked is by a Wild Animal. Otherwise, isn't another disadvantage to the WA, especially if he can't move from there ?!?!

Yep.
IMHO the the mandatory blok should also be a LEGAL block...
So the Fanatic does not count as a standing LEGAL target for the WA block..
Well, there should be some difference between WILD animals and STUPID animals
...and blocking a Fanatic would be more on the stupid side rather than the wild side
Cheers

I think Rob has nailed this one.
The required blocking action must be legal. I mean Ball and Chain players don't even have tackle zones.
I would rule that the Wild Animal can move away without penalty since there were no legal blocks for him to make. I haven't seen too many vicious animals attack machines with whirling spikes and ball .. so Wild doesn't mean stupid ... agreed.
