For the Dark Elves I like to go with:
4 Blitzer
7 Lineelf
2 ReRolls
1 FF
That roster worked quite well for me at tournies.
I think you won't need the thrower, since each LineElf makes a decent passer. The Witchelf is nice to have IMHO in a tourney situation not worth the 10k gp more over a Blitzer.
Her AV of 7 makes her a target. And with only 2 Blitzers it is difficult to support and protect her. |

I used the 4 Blitzers roster in 3 tourneys:
ended up 15/44, 27/50 and 1/10. |

Standard WE line up is 2 WD, 1 Catcher, 8 Line, 2RR & 1 FF (I think). I reckon that's a good solid lineup for a first tournament.
For DE I think 2 blitzers/1 witch is marginally better against some teams than the 4 blitzer lineup but both work okay. DE are a weak tournament team anyway. |

Thanks for the tips everyone. I hope to change that "DE are a weak tournament team" very soon. |

I'd go with 3 Blitzers and 1 Witch Elf if the tournament doesn't require FF, and frankly I find no purpose to FF in a tournament in the first place since tournaments typically reset casualties so there should be no need for income to offset damage. |

The reason to go with a FF of 1 is that most tournaments use the LRB. Which demands to take a FF of at least one at team creation. So this 10k is fix.
I personally have not been to a tournament where no FF was needed.
If you are not forced to have FF the 3 Blitzer, 1 Witch would definitely be an option.
But I wouldn't take less than 3 Blitzer and won't drop 1 RR for a witch |

I'd even consider the 3 Blitzer start for a League: 3 Blitzers, 8 Linemen, 1RR, and 9FF. Play conservatively, take Leader for the first Double roll, buy an Apo at first chance, and start saving cash for more Positionals. |
