Quote: Also the NAF rankings have been updated
its cool to see them up so quick, but it looks like the games were entered in the wrong order. I checked my scores for the game and my opponents are in the wrong order.
I just figured I'd get this out there before things get too old.

Yeah I just noticed that. The Death Bowl round is in the wrong place. Arrgh. I'll see what I can do about sorting it out. |

At least you didn't have to hand the Spoon off to yourself
Well I've looked at the system and it looks like someone will have to go into the data and change the dates for those games. I entered the wrong dates and times for the Death Bowl round and some of round 5 Sorry about that everyone, my bad. I've PM'd Woody about it and we'll get it fixed ASAP. |

Brian keeps raising the bar higher an higher for all the other TO's!!! Thanks agin to you, your family, and friends who made the weekend's tournament run so well.
It was truly a fantastic event, with a breathtaking arena. It would have been nice to play a real match on Phantom Field , but I guess it's just more reason to bust twist's chops for a long time |

Death Bowl III was my one-year anniversary of playing this version of Blood Bowl. In between, I have played in four other tournament, and Brian's tourney are consistently the best (Craig, Rob F., yours are a *very* close second place!)
Brain - what can I say? You really know how to put on a good one.
Billy - thanks for letting me stay Saturday night. Once you are back in her good books, thank your lovely wife for being such a good hostess.
Jim (Old Man Monkey) - you're the man! It was a real pleasure meeting (and partying) with you! I am looking forward to next time. And its MY treat next time you are up here in the Great White North. If I can make it down to Florida, I will be sure to give you a ring...
Rod - nice hair! You are always a good sport. But you and your *homies* from the Falls should have come out with us Saturday night...
Glenn and Rob K. -- we will have to get together in Ottawa some time.
Colin, Leathan, and Little Steve -- nice to see some 'local' boys at the tourney, besides me! Steve, take care of my spoon!
Paul, Rob F., Ken, Cam, Rob O., Ben, Old Man Monkey (of course), and anyone else I missed (sorry!), YOU GUYS ROCK! I still didn't get to tell you guys about all of the fun you missed at the Pub after you left...!
A good time was had by all!
Garth
P.S. Brian, how do I change my damn username! |

Garth, as long as they didn't play Barretts Privateers, I'd say you missed out on a good time too.
Good to see you again buddy. |

Just wanted to say great job Brian!!!! The DeathBowl is definitely the standard for every other Tourney. It was a blast, from the tourney to the night life, the fun never stopped all weekend. I will definitely be back next year and hopefully those who missed, will make arrangements to be there as well.
Congrats to Rene on his victory!!!!
Ben- I think maybe it is time to just give up hope of ever winning a Deathbowl Final. 3 times weren't the charm.
Paul and Glenn- Great to see you guys once again.
To everyone else- I had a blast this weekend and all of you were apart of it. I have played in 5 tourneys now and it was nice to see all the new and old faces. The laughs and good times will continue for sure.
Craig- thanks for everything, tell Monica thanks once again.
Last but not least, Anyone looking for a stylish hairdo??? Feel free to contact Hair Design By Talons!!!! Rod was the first victim.....oops Customer!! Looks like he will be the second as well. Can't wait to see the pictures!!! |

For my own interest I added the wins and subtracted the losses of each team to come up with the following stats. Someone suggested that I post them here, so here it is for anyone who cares.
The number in the brackets indicates how many players were representing this team at the Deathbowl, the +/- is their overall score of wins and losses of all coaches.
Lizardman (2) +4
Dwarf (5) +4
Norse (1) +3
Skaven (4) +3
Chaos Dwarf (3) +2
Nurgle's Rotters (me!) +1
Pro Elf (2) +0
Wood Elf (2) +0
Necro (4) -2
Orcs (3) -3
Humans (2) -4
Ogre (3) -8
There you have it! Enjoy!

Yeah that running tally was interesting to see all weekend. I was surprised to see the Ogres do so badly. Of course it didn't help them that in the 7's round, the one round where they had a distinct advantage, two of the ogre teams faced each other.
To add a few more stats and stir the pot a little more...
Team USA seems to have had a slight edge on Team Canada.
Out of 30 matches played,
Team USA won 15
Team Canada won 11
There were 4 ties
But since I'm completely biased I'll count those 4 ties as wins for Canada and call the whole thing a tie |

... and *I* was one of the Human coaches... sad but true...
