| I go to tournies for the socialising, I went to the BB toureny in Notts last year so I could meet as many NAF and TBBers as possible. Had such a great time I went to 3 different NAF tournies this year. It's all about the socialising. It's nice to win, but the final W/L/T record doesn't really matter, it's how much fun you had while you were there. |

| Socializing is really the only reason to go. Blood Bowl basically sucks as a game and tourneys are aven worse. It's only the poeple make that it bearable at all. Most anyway. There's always that guy that smells bad takes 5 minutes to move his first player every turn. I don't want to have beers with him. |

I agree. Its about the socialising, having a few beers, meeting nice folk and then maybe learning a bit or two as well. People who leave because they don???t win, or spit their dummies, simply blow goats! Why bother coming if you cant take defeat! I???m bad but I know I am, but I make damn sure I enjoy myself!  |

Gaming cons/tournaments/events are always social events for me. Hell, I can play games on my PC at home if I want to just sit around.
It takes a particular kind of fool to play a game modeled after football and fantasy... and I want to hang out with those fools as much as possible! lol, it's a humor-filled game and should be treated as such. Winning is great and all, but I'm in it for the laughs. |
