I just found out that the Arisia party at Philcon will be Sat at 9:30pm. Don't know the room #, that won't be determined til check-in -- but look around for signs. There may well be one in the game room. Even if you're not planning on coming up to Arisia, folks should please stop in at the party if you can and talk up Blood Bowl. That would be quite helpful in rounding up ongoing support for us.
And for Skummy and others, you can try persuading them about averaging the cost between this year and next. If Philcon prices like Arisia, not only are the early registrations much cheaper, but they sell them cheaper still at this year's con and at parties they run at other cons to induce people to sign up.
In the hopes that you can do this next year, I'm already contacting Arisia folk who usually go to see about carpooling and room space next time. If you think it'll fly next year, I'll even ask one of my friends to by a membership for me while they're down there so I can get the cheapo price
Cheers,
Maureen |

I was afraid of that. There isn't much I can do about it though. Do any of them have a fake ID that says they are 25? Then it would only be $25 to get in.
We will miss you guys. Maybe next year I will hold something like this at my house. Just have to talk it over with the misses. |

What is it with this tourney and snow? All things still a go?
Right now it looks like three for sure from Harrisburg. |

Yup. Should be cleared up enough by tomorrow for there not to be too much of a problem.
Right now it's looking like about 5-6 people. Maybe I'll get to play this time. |

With snow and work & family committments, I don't think I'm going to be able to free up for this tourney. I'm planning on attending the next Philly Phrackus, once I know when you guys are holding that.
Perhaps I can even see about hosting a Reading area toruney....the Reading Rumble? If you guys want to do something like that, maybe we can plan that down the road...I would need help organizing. |

We'll miss you tomorrow SteelThunder. It should be a fun intimate tourney.
For those coming, it doesn't look like we are going to get the discount or need 1 hour for registration. So feel free to get there anytime between 8 and 9. If you need to call me my cell # is 610-636-4414.
See ya there. |

I was really looking forward to hooking up with you guys. You are all so close, it's a shame not to get there for this. I need to check these sites more often and be better prepared.
The Dwarfs will appear again, it will just have to be another time. |

Lessons Learned
After a fun 1-day tourney at Phil Con, I have discovered that Ogres are not a tourney team. I went 0-3 playing two Lizzie Teams and Woodelves...and even when I was mashing the opponent physically, and passing the large majority of Bonehead rolls, I could not stop my opponents from from scoring. Furthermore...I found it even more difficult to score myself. (I scored on two TTMs in the three games combined.)
Anyway, like I said it was fun and I will reserve Ogres for league play from here on out. |

Thanks Jay for running the tourney! Despite the lackluster turnout the Harrisburg Mafia contingent had a great time.
Glad I was able to defend my Phil Con title. Purple Saurus Rex forever!
Oh Yeah!
PS- Great recommendation, Rob, on the wings. Made me feel bad about the manhandling my saurus gave yer Ogres! |

Glad you all had fun. I had a great time as well.
Once again Bampf came out and showed us all how to play the lizards.
Nice job. |

On another note, this will most likely be the last Phil Con Bowl.
It's just too expensive for a 1 day tournament (heck too much for a 2 day tournament with no food).
I might do a December 1 day just to get some BB fun in the winter but it wont be held there. |

Here s my summary:
Purple Saurus Rex smashes and dashes around all comers... grabs trophy... finds a warm rock to lie down on.
Meanwhile coaches eat wings. |
