****UPDATE****

Under the tab 'whos registered' you can now view a summary of total number of coaches and the races chosen.

I have also updated the rules PDF to include the rules on secret weapons.

Well I am paid up and good to go!

So Zombie is bringing ogres, eh? Interesting choice for him. I had considered it myself, but am having a lot of fun painting up my goblin team.

The first team I ever played in Blood Bowl was a goblin team (I like rooting for the underdogs). They were the 2ed. models that came with the whole team in a giant platic blister (any old timers out there will remember what I mean). But I have put the original models to rest, and have converted a whole new team using Warhammer plastics, so DA No Good Broozers are being reborn!

Tremble. It's okay to be afraid..... Smile

Ben,

I noticed that you are allowing norse to take the ball and chain? Did you mean to allow that?

Also, what is the difference between an exploding bomb and a stink bomb?

EDIT - okay, a quick search has yielded me my answer at this website:

http://www.blood-bowl.net/Weapons.html

But Ben, please note that they have the stink bomb listed as 20K cheaper than what you have (and as it should as it does no real damage).

I will remove Norse as a race that can use Ball & Chain and i am completly removing stink bombs from the list. I measnt to do that in the first place.

Thanks,

Ben

Alrighty then. But others should note that if they want a quick reference as to how the weapons work, the above mentioned link does describe them.

One more thing Ben,

You mention in your rules for the secret weapons that no player carrying secret weapons may carry the ball. Was this intentional? I only ask because there are rules for carrying the ball as a secret weapon holder (e.g. a chainsaw may not hold the ball only if the chainsaw is running, ball and chain fanatics may never, etc.). My main reason for asking is that I was painting up my pogo stick goblin, and it occured to me that if he is not able to hold the ball, then his purpose on the team is pretty moot.

Thanks.

We will use whaever the official rules say. So i would assume that pogo sticks and blunderbuss would be able to carry the ball.

Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, I hadn't thought of the blunderbuss, but that is really the point of them! They have to pick up the ball and fire it out of the weapon!

Update:

I spoke with Glenn Jones today, and it looks like he and Rob will be planning on coming in from Ottawa. He says that he will let me know towards the middle of the month, but says that there is no reason that he shouldn't be able to make it.

Glenn will almost certainly be bringing his dwarves, and Rob will probably be either Chaos or Necros.

Ok, I am back. Hoping not to get schooled this year like I did with my Wood Elves last year, making super-Wardancers instead of a complete team. ^%#(&* four dirties on a team with 'Get the Ref'...

Paul & Ben: The Firkin sounds good, pints are a must on the Saturday over hockey!!! Bud and I are contemplating renting a room, dunno for sure yet.

As for the rules, they are ok. Are we using any fancy kick off table (a la Deathbowl), or just the most recent LRB one? I am still paranoid that while Orc Blitzers are getting specialty skills on top of their block, I am buying block. Laughing How to fit the dagger into the budget... Dammit, all my favourite races are at their best at 1 mil!
