Hello,
I'm playing in a 6 team tournament with HE's (once mail order deliver them )
Anyone had success with these? What's a good starting roster?
I've had a few games with Lizardmen & Norse and am looking forward to using an AG4 team!
Regards,
Steven |

8 Lineman
2 Lion Warrior
1 Pheonix Warrior
3 Re-Rolls
3 FF
That should be okay, let me know how it goes! |

How about:
5 Linelfs
2 Lion
2 Phoenix
2 Dragon
2 Re-rolls
1 Fan-factor
Looks quite decent to me - a lot of "in-built" re-rolls.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

I've tried a lineup of: 7 linelves, 2 Dragon, 2 Lion, 1 Phoenix + 2 re-rolls;
in hindsight I would've dropped the extra reroll and spent the gold on more fan-factor points. Otherwise, it's jus too hard to generate enough cash to replace the dead elves. |

How many games is the team going to last? If you only play 5 games take all the positional players you can.
Otherwise my standard HE start is
2 Dragons
1 Phoenix
8 Line elves
2 TRR
6 FF
For development buy the apoth and 2 Lion Warriors.
You may want to swap a Dragon for a line elf and take the extra points of FF, or drop the phoenix for the extra point of FF too. |

It is all depending on the format.
Just 5 matches, TR 110 or something else?
I like a high (6+) FF for the moments that you actually DO get a pitch invasion. etc.
I'd only take one thrower though |

Yeah! Won my first game 3-0 against Orcs.
I used the lineup suggested by Valen but dropped a re-roll in favour of an Apothecary (I'm always nervous fielding an 11 man team)
The catchers at strength 3 make fair blitzers in thier own right with MV8 (and an assist!). I managed to kill an Orc Blitzer with a foul (and got sent off!) all round the Elves totally outclassed the slower Orcs.
I'm up against a Chaos team next so that'll be interesting...
A few linemen and a catcher now have 3+ star player points although not enough yet to make a skill roll (hopefull end of next game). What are good starting skills for Linemen? I normally go for sure hands on my first guy (Norse/Lizzies) but with the higher AG feel this may need changing...

Good luck against te Chaos team but be forewarned if they manage to play like mine did against your high elves you are in for a very long afternoon.
So far my Chaos team seems to think that they are elves. I can dodge and pass and manage to run circles against the HEs who couldn't manage to even pick up the ball regularly. So far I have been extremely lucky with dice rolls. Nuffle has indeed blessed me.

I'd try to get my line elves block and dodge as soon as possible. After that, go with tackle or sidestep, with guard on doubles. |
