So who fancies a trip the UK next year? Can we organise a team? Or is it purely going to be North America & Europe? |

It will be LRB4. All other reasons aside the one that stands out is the simple fact that not everyone will be firmiliar with any other version by then. There will be enough confusion when it comes to the different languages involved without throwing a brand new rule set into the mix. |

I think it may be a pretty self-selecting team. If we can get enough... maybe we can pick up the odd UK based aussie too if we need to make up the numbers. I'm a provisional yes at this stage. |

Well if Ian can play for Australia with HIS accent then surely I can play with mine!
WILL there be hard rules about this? Or is "I live there" enough?
But I am SOOOOO saving for this trip. I will also be looking to get some gigs while I am there...who knows, with a full book I could stick around for "The Big Blood Bowl tourney" as well!
BUt very exciting concept....who is our capitain? Selectors?
I know it is a year away..but good to get ready...team shirts, hats..hell, wouldn't it be cool to all have our teams painted in our Countries colours ?!?
Oh man I am excited about this! |

It never occured to me that I wouldn't be eligable I'll be permanent resident by then. Are there going to be objections if we put on the green and gold? There probably shouldn't be any competition for places. If there is, maybe we can just get Babs to adjudicate? He's said he won't go so ought to be reasonably neutral and as the NAF RTO its his responsibility anyway. |

Oz is a stand up comedian OMM.
I reckon they should hire him for a gig at the World Cup, so's he can finally do an entire gig based on BB (yes he does often slip a BB bit in there). |

Why wouldn't Babs go??? Having the #2 Dark Elf coach AND the #43 High Elf surely would be a bonus!
(and dammit that number will be smaller come cup time!) |

Heres the major reasons why 2007 is a no go.
#1. I'm a chalkie. Which means I cannot pick when my holidays off work are. Sure I get 10 weeks a year, but they are locked in location as school holidays - and March is not one of those time slots.
#2. In 2007 I will be rebuilding our house. From the ground up. Which means that it will be crazy over here for me in real life. It may even mean I can't run CanCon - which is why I asked for a seconder. As I'm Owner-building I need to be near the worksite at all times.
#3. Because of #2 I cannot afford it. I need to save every penny I can. Simply running CanCon costs me $270 in lost pay. Costing me $1500 in airfare, before the lost pay comes into effect, is just too much for me. I'd rather spend that money on building my games room
So that's the short reasons. Apologies. It's not like I don't _want_ to. I'd love to visit England. |
