Thanks for a great tourney Ben!
And thanks to everyone who schooled me on day 2. I have a lot of practice to get in before Philly... |

Nice.
I wasn't expecting to do so well with the gobbos, and so was not disappointed. My tournament points for wins/losses was 180, which was pretty respectable, I feel. I think my only real disappointment this weekend is that I didn't get very drunk Saturday night despite consuming copious amounts of beer.
Overall my tourney record was:
Game 1 - lost to Khemri 0-3
Game 2- lost to humans 0-2
Game 3 - won vs. humans 2-0
Game 4 - lost to norse 0-1
Game 5 - lost to goblins. Let's just say I lost, and leave it at that.
Game 6 - won vs vampires 1-0
Overall a great tourney and the location was fantastic. I am 99% sure that I will be hosting the Q'ermitt at the same spot this year.
Sorry that I could not stay to the bitter end, but other duties called! Looking forward to hearing all the final results.

Thanks for running things Ben, it was a blast to see everyone and meet some new people as well.
I finished 3-2-1, (same record as last year) but only in 8th this time.
Game 1 vs Norse 2-2 tie
Game 2 vs Amazons 2-1 loss (I'll get you next time brian)
Game 3 vs Vampires 2-1 win
Game 4 vs Chaos Dwarfs 2-0 win (and I got the bag of wheat too )
Game 5 vs Orcs 2-1 win
Game 6 vs Norse 2-1 loss
I think the highlight of the weekend was the ammount of beer we downed on Saturday night, as well as getting my revenge against Talons for beating me last year at the Open. My Skaven whooped his Orcs this year, . |

I had a bunch of fun. Steve (zombie) won by kicking my ass in the final (table 1) game. He played excellently and deserved the win. I think the luck facter (his good, mine bad) accounted for the massive extent of the ass-whooping I suffered.
I sure could have used some Tackle for facing Zombie but then I would have had to drop the 2nd golem to get the extra skills and that would have meant I would have lost those amazingly close games against guys like Joe and his killa orcs and therefore wouldn't have reached table 1 by turn 6.
Anyway, I went 5-1. But that "1" was an epic loss.
I'm thinking Orcs for the next Open.

Congratz all, I am really pi$$ed I coudn't be there! (My boss is a turd!)
It sounds like a great tourney by all!
Joe way to support Niagara in your 2nd 5th finnish in two CDN opens! (2004 & 2006)
Zombie wins! (Grrrr) Seriously great job by him.
I was hoping Cam's lizards would falter, but it was not to be, way to go Cam.
Kolja I guess your not the BB God I thought you were! LOL!
I can't belive Craig was able to get a win (nevermind 2) good job!
Talons what happened? (you were supposed to play Elves, probably should have, looks like you kinda blew chunks with Orcs! )
Well Mr. Ben, looks like you put on a great tourney, I hope I'll be there next year!
Looks like my next tourney will be the Death-Cup in Washington DC.
Hope to see some of you guys there!
Take care, Rod. |

20th out of 24? Wow! I didn't think I did that well!
I am also surprised that Schofield didn;t get the best Sportsman award. I know that he took his losses very well! |

Is "Chunks" one of the new players on the Maple Leafs?
Serves him right for not playing the pansy team he is used to! |

"Kolja I guess your not the BB God I thought you were! LOL! "
Yeeesh, you lose 1 game in 2 Canadian Opens (2005, 2006) and you lose 'god' status...
