Most TDs Steve Lalancette with 22
Best Painted Paul Connors (skaven) Nice Job!
Best Sportsman Garth Elliot (your sucha nice guy)
Fewest TDs Against Billy Zavos with 5 (i'm still scrathing my head on this one)
Most Casualties George Hewitt with 20
It was really hard for us (Brian, Billy, Steve, and I) to get into the car, with our heads swelled so big... Our car accounted for 6 of the 10 prizes (none of which was the Wooden Spoon!).
And I can't belive you guys had a pool on how bad I was going to place. Two tourneys in a row I get 5+ TDs in a game!
Ben, you ARE the man. Thanks for a well run, fun tourney.

This sounded like a blast...I thought Zombie was planning on playing Ogres. I'm sure Steve did some mathematical algorithm to help in "min/max"-ing the WoodElves.
What was the skill pool that he selected? Also, what did Koilja take for the Necros?
Actually...I'd love to hear what all the attendees did for skills.

The only skills Zombie took were for the Wardancers. One had Pro/Strip Ball, and the other Pro/Tackle.
I killed the Strip Ball guy |

For my Skaven, I took Mighty Blow/Tackle on both Stormvirmin and Block on all 4 Gutters. I also gave one Gutter Side Step, which was incredibly useful. |

I guess the extra cash allowed for more re-rolls or positionals then...can you recall what this looked like?

Hmm...how did that combo work on the StormVermin? Did you have a RatOgre?

I can't remember exact numbers, but I know he had 2 Rerolls and no Thrower. He had a few Catchers too. |

Quote: He had a few Catchers too.
I didn't play him, but from what I saw there was 3 Catchers, the 2 War Dancers, a Treeman and a bunch of Lineelfs. I'm not sure if he had an apoth or not.
Quote: Hmm...how did that combo work on the StormVermin? Did you have a RatOgre?
I had a Rat Ogre, I left him skillless, which you can argue made him weaker going against Minotaurs with Block in 3 games. I was sure that going into the tournament, the Rat Ogre was going to be nothing but a distraction to my opponent and I was not going to risk any blitzes with the guy (damn Wild Animal) so he did really well attracting hits from other big guys that might have been directed towards Gutter Runners. I will admit that him not having block cost me the game against Brians Amazons (hit on one turn bothdown, next turn, Rat Ogre blitz the ball carier, (I know, I said he wouldn't, but hes the only guy who could) bothdown
The Mighty Blow/Tackle was great on the Stormvirmine. I think they combined for 6 of the 8 casualties I inflicted in the tournamnet. The Tackle was kinda usless though, the only game where it really mattered was against Brians Amazons. My opponents were Norse x2, Orcs, Chaos Dwarfs and Vampires, so Tackle wasn't much of a factor. But, after seeing the number of pow/dodges that my Gutter Runners took, I would have still taken Tackle. The line going into the tournament was 5 other Skaven Teams, 2 Goblin, 2 Lizardmen, 1 High Elf, 3 Necros (come here ghouls),1 Amazon and 2 Human (catchers) and 1 Undead (more Ghouls) I wanted a guy who can make sure that the pow/dodges turned into pows against them.
I also had a thrower, 3 line rats, 2 re rolls and a fan factor. |

I was not there Rob, but I'll let you know the roster I was planning on bringing, (I think it would have done well.)
SKAVEN TEAM
1)Gutter Runner + Block=110,000
2)Gutter Runner + Block=110,000
3)Gutter Runner + Block=110,000
4)Gutter Runner + Block=110,000
5)Rat Ogre + Block=180,000
6)Storm Vermin + Tackle & Mighty Blow=150,000
7)Thrower + AG+1=150,000
8)Line Rat=50,000
9)Line Rat=50,000
10)Line Rat=50,000
11)Line Rat=50,000
2 RR's=120,000
1FF=10,000
------------------------------------------------------------------------
=1,250,000
Paul do you think this might have been better than the roster you took? (Or does anyone else think my roster would have done well?)
Thanks, Rod. |

I took 2 golems, 2 wights, 2 weres, 2 ghouls, 4 zombies. 2 RR, 1 FF.
I added Block to the golems and weres and surehands to the ghouls (6 skills total).
I found in the past that I had lots of trouble with strong teams so I took the 2nd golem and went without tackle skills, etc.
It worked - I beat an Orc team and a Khemri team, for example. Unfortunately, when I met Zombie and his woodies in game 6, I was in trouble.

1 chainsaw, 1 fanatic, 1 bomber, 1 pogo, 12 gobbos and 2 trolls. The trolls had block, 2 gobbos had diving tackle (pretty useless in the tourney) and 1 had sprint.
Block on the trolls was brilliant, but that was about it.
Da Scum took block on the troll and 3 AG4 gobbos which would have been a much better choice. I might have gone that way myself, but really wanted to use the secret weapons. He only had the ball and chain. |

Dude...I talked about the AG Increase...I thought that was a gimme with stunties. I considered getting flings with as many as I could afford with AG +1...maybe even only going with Deeproot if that meant lots of ingredients. |
